Adventures in Parenting With Cinder and Kai

Another One?!

A/N: I updated this! It's not very good like at all, but it's something and I find it kind of funny. I write this rally late at night so if things don't really make sense or grammar is off, that's my excuse. I hope you enjoy!

Cinder and Kai have been married for about six years now. Takumi is now five years old and is as weird and crazy as ever.

Cinder found out she was pregnant again. It said she was three weeks pregnant.

She told Kai instantly when he found her curled up on the bathroom floor holding her head. He thought she was dying or something, but when she looked at him with both happiness and terror on her eyes he started crying  and knew what she meant. She pointed to the pregnancy test on the floor beside her and they hugged each other sitting on the floor.

That was about four days ago now. They had to tell Taku soon.

"Hey Taku?" Cinder called from the kitchen.

"Yeah mom?" He yelled from the living room. He was playing with his stuffed birds.

"Can you come here, please? Mommy and daddy have something to tell you." Kai said from the kitchen table where he and Cinder sat.

Soon Taku came barrelling into the kitchen. He had a blanket draped over his shoulders and he was flapping it frantically. He had ran in so fast that he slipped and slid into the kitchen island, successfully falling over onto his back and hitting his head on the ground.

Cinder and Kai stared at him in shock. They were going to have another one running around the palace like this.

Oh stars they are in for a treat.

Taku jumped up and shot his fists into the air. "I'm okay!" He he said happily staring at his bewildered parents.

Cinder shook her head a little bit and smiled at him. Come sit Taku, we have something we'd like to tell you." She said patting her lap.

He hopped up onto her lap and walked his arms around her neck. She wrapped her arms around his back making sure he's didn't fall off her lap. Not again.

"You know how Auntie Scarlet and Uncle Wolf have three kids?"

"Of course! They're awesome! I love playing with them at the farm!" Taku smiles up at his parents who smiled back.

"How would you like it if i told you that you were going to be a big brother? You'd always have someone like Maha, Michelle, and Damien to play with!"

"What do you mean?"

"Well mommy has a baby in her tummy and soon you'll have a little baby brother or sister to play with!" Cinder explained.

"You ate a baby!?" Taku looked mortified as he stared into his mothers eyes. All he could think was his mother ate some poor baby and wanted him to help her raise it when it was finished.

"No! She didn't eat a baby Taku! Don't worry." Kai said dumbfounded as he ruffled his sons black hair.

"Then how is there a bag inside her!?"

"Well you see Taku, when a man and a woman really love each other-"

"Cinder!?"

"What? He's four! He should be old enough to know, right?"

Cinder was staring at Kai confused.

"Taku," Kai started, "mommy and I thought that you'd like a play pal so we called a stork and he sent us a special drink so that mommy can grown a baby inside her now!"

"So she drank a baby! I get it now! I hope I get a sister!"

Cinder and Kai looks at each other, they reasoned that there was no expanding to him what exactly was going on and that no, mommy did not drink or eat a baby. They left him thinking what he thought and decided to leave it how it is.

"That would be nice, wouldn't it?" Cinder said as she put Taku back in the ground.

"Yeah! Then I could protect her!"

He bolted out of the kitchen without any other words being spoken. The proud parents looked at each other and Kai grabbed Cinder's hand.

They smiled and heard a small thud come from their living room which shocked them out of their trance of staring at the other.

"I'm okay!" They heard Taku yell and they both giggled. Soon their giggling slowed and they both sighed.

"This is going to be a disaster." Cinder said looking at Kai.

"Maybe. But it'll be fun!" Kai said smiling at Cinder who smiled back and embraced him in a hug.
