Cell

I started off as just a cell,

Had no brain, heart, or hell.

It was dark and lonely then,

Sadly I can't remember when.

I had no problems to quell,

I had been doing quite well.

That's when I was born,

The moment everything fell.

Life is full of chains,

It is a prison cell;

No matter how hard you try,

Or the number of lies we tell.

Life is full of rules,

Now it's time to rebel!

Breaking out of this cell.

I am locked up in my cell,

The guards just love to yell.

It is dark and lonely now,

I still have no idea how.

Too many problems that dwell,

No power that could repel.

That's when I couldn't sleep,

Had my soul in my hands to sell.

Life is full of chains,

It is a prison cell;

No matter how hard you try,

Or the number of lies we tell.

Life is full of rules,

Now it's time to rebel!

Breaking out of this cell.

I watch everyone on their cells,

On their apples and dells.

Not a care for anything.

They've no needs for magic spells,

For liberty bells,

I've no need for anything.

Life is full of chains,

It is a prison cell;

No matter how hard you try,

Or the number of lies we tell.

Life is full of rules,

Now it's time to rebel!

Breaking out of this cell.

Breaking out of this cell...
