In this world, there is constant war.
Even in the face of peace,
The pain will never cease.
In this world, there are streams of blood,
And streams of tears, of fears,
We thought we left behind.
We don't grow old, we grow blind.
In the beginning of time,
Humans found every mountain they could climb,
And kept going until they fell.
At the ending of life,
Humans all must take inside the knife,
And they will fall back down to hell.
Life never changes!
We never move on.
Life is always the same,
No matter who we are.
There are those who move,
And those who shut their eyes.
The world keeps spinning though,
You can't ever shut off the lights,
But goodnight, go to bed.
Lay down your head,
Forget your dead.
But goodnight, close your eyes.
Don't say goodbye,
Forget your life.
The lights will burn your eyelids.
The fights will burst your drums.
The nights will echo in silence.
The sights will fade to slums.
And your memories are pointless.
And the past was never real.
The future will never come.
Life is so surreal.
We are all a part of humankind!
We don't grow old, we grow blind.
