"Wait, what do you mean he's engaged? Like 'going to get married' engaged?" Meghan sat up on the bed in my hotel room where I was sitting next to her.

"Yeah, that's what he told me! We kissed last night and he was like 'I can't do this. Oh yeah I've been engaged this whole time,'" I explained and sighed, feeling like an idiot.

"God, and he's been flirting with you this whole time?" She shook her head, sounding disgusted, and I nodded. "That prick."

"Don't lash out on him, please. His parents are coming and they haven't seen him in a while, plus he told me not to tell anyone," I pleaded.

"Well of course he didn't want you to tell; he wanted to save his ass. If this 'fiancée' comes to the LA show we need to talk to her."

I thought back to that day when Ed and I were at the bar and he got so upset when I mentioned his personal life. "No, please don't, I think he has enough going on."

She sighed, "I know you like him, but what he did to you is terrible and she needs to know, especially if she's gonna marry this guy."

It wouldn't be fair if I told her what I knew: about the cheating and how sensitive he was. "Just, please, promise me you won't say anything. He told me he hasn't been home since Christmas; let them be happy."

Meghan laid back down and I sighed in relief, than laid down next to her. We sat there for a minute before she spoke. "How was it?"

"How was what?" I asked.

"The kiss, how was the kiss?" She mumbled.

I smiled, but also felt kinda sad. "It... You know how they say that 'sparks fly', and we never knew what they meant. Now I know because I felt it."

"It's weird though, he's almost four years older than us."

I never really thought about that in that way. "Yeah, it is, but I don't know. It doesn't really seem to matter when we hang out-he doesn't treat me like I'm younger than him. It's... I shouldn't even to thinking about this, he's going to get married!"

"Gosh, who would think: married when you're twenty-one. Especially Ed of all people."

"I know."

"This is so weird," Meghan replied looking down at her banana costume. I shouldn't be laughing at her, but I couldn't help it: she looked so funny. "Why couldn't I be the princess?"

"Because I'm the one that's going onstage," I raised my eyebrows and looked at her in the mirror behind me. I was just touching up my makeup before I had to go onstage.

Today was Ed's birthday, and for the show he asked everyone to dress up in crazy costumes. Since Meghan and I made the mistake of not going out to buy a costume ourselves, we were stuck with whatever they had at the venue: a banana and a princess. Meghan kept saying I was lucky to get that costume, but that wasn't true. The top was way too tight and I could barely breathe, and the skirt came down to just below my knees. It was this weird faded blue color that looked like it's seen better days.

"Well at least you can breathe," I stepped back and examined myself in the mirror. This costume looked like a sexy princess gone wrong.

"Fashion hurts, darling," Meghan replied. Then there was a knock on the door.

The door opened slowly, and someone said, "T minus ten." When the door opened fully I saw Ed standing there in a pirate costume. "Oh hi, Meghan," he nodded to her and stepped into the room. He looked up at me and stopped, "Wow, you look-"

"Don't do that, it would be unfaithful. We all know you've done enough damage," Meghan snapped and looked up at him.

"What's your problem?" He asked and looked at her. Oh no, the war is starting.
