THE LONG FLIGHT FROM CHICAGO TO LA MADE SYDNEY extremely tired. She wasn't used to traveling, and being weak from the disease that manifested inside of her only caused her to become weaker.
However, she still made the best of the situation, ensuring her friends that she was just fine.
David didn't believe her though, he could see that Sydney was anything but fine,
thus is why he was by her side the entire time.
He made sure she was comfortable on the flight, he matched her slow pace when they arrived at the airport, he carried her lugguage,
and when Jason finally picked them up from the airport, Sydney fell fast asleep in the car, resting her head on David's chest as he wrapped his arm around her, making sure she was comfortable.
Even though David didn't want to admit it, Sydney looked sick.
She was extremely pale, with small bags under her eyes, but yet, her chapped lips sometimes had speckles of blood on them from shen she coughed, and she was extremely thing, but yet, she was still the most beautiful girl he has ever layed his eyes on.
From the way her hazel eyes shimmered, the way her slightly short-ish hair fell effortlessly down her shoulders, to the way her lips tilted upward when she gave him a sincere smile, god, she was perfect to David
Watching her sleep , David couldn't help the small smile that formed on his features, she looked adorable, and all David wanted to do was place a kiss on her forehead, but he knew both Lea and Ilya would make a fuss, and it would end up with Sydney waking up, and he didn't want to disturb her.
"Holy shit ! " Lea then loudly exclaimed as Jason pulled up into the driveway of David's million dollar mansion. Lea stared at it in awe.
"You're loaded." She gasped, taking in every detail of the house, and with Lea being quite loud, Sydney started to stir, awaking from her short slumber.
"We're here." David gently informed the tired looking girl, Sydney giving him a lopsided smile as she pushed herself from his chest.
Soon, everyone piled out of Jason's Tesla, David, yet again, carrying Sydney's lugguage, making sure that she was okay.
Upon entering David's house, Sydney also couldn't help but to be in awe. She had seen bits and pieces of his house from his vlogs, but she didn't expect it to be this gorgeous.
"Syd, your room's here." David called, Sydney scurrying behind him as they entered one of David's many spare rooms.
The walls were coated white, the decor matching the walls, as the comforter was a nice shade of black.
Sydney's favourite color.David set her lugguage down, proceeding to near the petite girl as he hovered over her.
"Thanks Dave." She smiled tiredly at him, taken him quite aback as she wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her head on his chest.
David didn't waste a second as he wrapped her in a tight hug,
"I think I'm going to take a nap, I'm really tired." Sydney spoke, slowly backing away from the comforting hug,
"Oh yea — of course, I'll leave you to it." David didn't want to bother her, as he made his way towards the door, but Sydney grabbed hold of his hand,
"Will you stay?"
David's eyes met hers, a sweet smile upon her features, and David's heart skipped a beat.
He nodded with a warm smile, "of course."
Sydney flopped down on the extremely comfortable bed, David doing the same as he instantly wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close to him.
Both David and Sydney felt as if their hearts were going to leap out of their chests, the butterflies swirling around their stomachs.
David knew that he was slowly but surely falling for Sydney Young,
and Sydney couldn't help but feel the same about David.
