"TRUST ME, THEY'RE GONNA' LOVE YOU." DAVID ASSURED Sydney Young, the girl's nerves were rather wrecked as she let out a shuddering breath.
David noticed her distressed state.
He went to place a gentle hand on her leg, his eyes still on the road and his left hand on the steering wheel of the rental car.The two had only landed an hour prior at the O'hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois.
They had decided to first go over to David's house, and spend the night there before going to Sydney's.
The two only lived about twenty minutes apart, with David's hometown being Vernon Hills and Sydney's being Highland Park.
Sydney wondered how they had never crossed paths before, but then again, most of the time she was stuck inside her apartment, not having the strength to even make it outside.
"You're gonna' be fine, babe." David told the girl, a warm feeling enveloping her at David's soothing voice.
"I love you Dave." Sydney's eyes met the brown haired boy's eyes for a quick second, "I love you too."
When the car came to a halt in front of a relatively normal sized house, Sydney tried her best to push back her nerves,
"Syd, you really don't have to worry." David told her again, and before she could reply to him, his lips were on hers in a sweet kiss, one which made Sydney's heart flutter.David grabbed most of the lugguage, refusing to let Sydney carry anything too heavy before he lead the way towards the front door.
Opening the door, David let Sydney enter first, and the girl was instantly taken aback when a pair of hands hugged her legs.
Looking down, she saw a tiny blonde haired boy, maybe the cutest kid she's ever seen.
He had two missing teeth, and Sydney giggled as he smiled up at her, not letting go of her just yet.
"Hi, I'm Toby." He quickly introduced, "I'm Sydney, it's nice to meet you Toby." She sweetly greeted, the kid now letting go of her as he jumped into David's arms.
"Hi big guy." David chuckled as Toby grinned widely at him. David held out his one hand for Sydney to grab as he placed Toby on the floor, the boy then running towards where the rest of David's family presumably was.
With David leading the way, his hand interwined with Sydney's, two younger girls were seated on the sofa in the living room, Sydney identified them as Ester and Sara, David's younger sisters.
They instantly stood up, welcoming David with a hug before giving the same gesture towards Sydney,
"Just so you know, my mom and dad already loves you." Sara spoke with a giggle, Sydney quirking an eyebrow, "it's true , they say they haven't seen David this happy in a long time, and they also practically know everything about you as David literally never shuts up about you."
