Summary: I quickly make my way to my own room before slamming the door shut and sliding against the cool door. None of this makes sense...why was the window open? What about that rustling? What was it that turned into a human? Was Roman acting...I know he's practically a god at it... If the two were supposedly having a 'tickle war' as Roman had put it...then how come Logan was the only one who looked disheveled? Logan can put up a fight...not only that but Logan isn't typically one for things like that...so what is it?

There's obviously something going on that I don't know about... The question is...is what is it? What are those two hiding? If there's anything I've learned... it's that there's no such thing as a coincidence. Those two know something... they're hiding something and I just know it.

Roman's Perspective

Since Thomas had knocked on the door, I felt an odd feeling, similar to yesterday's, come again. Virgil's anxiety...he was panicking, and knowing Thomas, that would only make his own anxiety worse. I was quick to pull on a black shirt, mentally cursing the dark color as I rush up to Logan's side to save him from his situation. Thankfully, I managed to get him out of said situation which only seemed to get mildly worse as the morning continued.

"Logan, we have to let him go."

"But-"

"Don't Lo, if the others find him, it won't end well, you know this. Thomas has anxiety and it could get worse, not only that but Remy might attempt to actually fight him. To add to that, a truck full of our stuff is going to be arriving today and it might add stress to Virgil, we've got to let him go." I say, slightly surprised with how I was the more logical one in this situation. I opened the window, seeing black suddenly dart pass me. Logan yells after Virgil knowing all too well that Thomas would've heard that.

"Stop yelling-"

"You just let him go-"

"I understand that Lo, he wanted out. He's not meant to be locked up in a confined space." I heard faint mumbles outside as I quickly covered Logan's mouth once more to keep him quiet.

"Now, we have to cover this up, I have a plan but we've gotta be quick." I whispered as I was quick to pull him down onto the two air mattresses with me as he huffed out. I laid him down, towering over him as his glasses were askew. I held onto his bare skin from his shirt riding up while I held his leg over my right shoulder. The door opened as Thomas gave us a confused look while Remy seemed amused. I was quick to grin at the two as I was quick to come up with a reasonable lie.

"Sorry 'bout that Rem...Thomas... I just decided to have a tickle war with Logan that's all." I say smoothly, knowing all too well of what it looks like the two of us were doing. Thankfully, due to Thomas' embarrassment, the two left quickly. I let out a sigh of relief and let Logan go as I sat down in front of him while he fixed himself. He looked at me irritated as I explained how it was the quickest solution to the problem.

Being honest, this is the most he's ever actually been emotional about something. Has Lo become emotionally attached to Virgil? That's... that's a little surprising...out of all people, I hadn't expected it to be Logan. Logan always had a hard time expressing emotions in the past but this was new. Was he that dedicated to his research or did he genuinely care for the small creature that had lurked in the shadows.

After a long silence, Logan was hesitant on speaking. Quite honestly I wouldn't blame him, my solution to our problem wasn't exactly...helpful...in some aspects...but it worked. I could definitely tell though...he was not happy with me.

"We need to found out where that mystery creature and Virgil went to get inside of the laboratory, otherwise we may have to suffer the same problem tomorrow." He stated calmly and smoothly as he pushed his glasses farther up the bridge of his nose while his eyebrow twitched. Not too long after Logan's statement, another knock was heard.

"Love birds, the trucks are arriving in an hour and Thomas is cooking, what do you want to eat?" Oh no, if Thomas is cooking the you might as well cover the lab in gasoline and through a lit match at it. I got up from the air mattresses, not bothering to change my shirt as I made my way to the door.

"There's no way I'm letting Thomas cook, I'm making vanilla pancakes." I say as I open the door and head downstairs to find Thomas starring at a recipe book.

"Thomas, no." I say as I take the book from his hands and the apron from around his body in one swift motion, "Go watch cartoons." I say as I hand him my phone and push him out of the kitchen. I put the apron over my head, allowing it to hang before tying it around my waist and putting away the recipe book Thomas had been looking for. It hadn't taken me long to find the spatulas, pans, and the main ingredients for the vanilla pancakes I was going to make.

Perhaps I should make an entire plate full. That should last us for a while. Thankfully the power had been turned on weeks before our arrival so the stove and fridge worked perfectly fine. I pulled out the vanilla creamer, pancake mix, a bowl, and other necessities before I started stirring . Eventually, I turned the stove on to start making the pancakes, being sure to keep an eye out on whether or not the pancakes had been done. Today is going to be a long day.
