"Why you?! Beck told me her friend Gracey was coming but I figured that its a common name and it surely wasn't you! But of course." That was the first thing Ethan said to me when Beck and Lucy got out of the car at the gas station to get snacks. "I didn't know you were coming till we were about to leave. So its a surprise to me too." Ethan rolled his eyes.

Its kind of upsetting that Ethan doesn't like me. Not only is he my boyfriend's twin, but now he's dating one of my bestest friend's. "Ethan?" I spoke up trying to sound confident. He looked at me like he was wondering why in the world I would DARE speak to him. "Can we start over? I dont want us to hate each other. Beck is my best friend and I love Grayson." He turned away. Why am I even trying with him?

I was silent for the rest of the car ride. I didn't even speak to Lucy. Once we arrived at the house the girls jumped out of the car. I got out shortly after and brought my luggage inside. Lucy and I shared a room. She walked in after me and shut the door. "Ok, spill." I looked at her confused. "You've been quiet ever since Ethan showed up. Is he an old ex?" She sat next to me.

I started to tear up. "So I met someone. He's amazing. I love him. He's perfect. And we're going to Colorado for week when I get back. Except he also happens to be my english teacher." I paused. Lucy raised her eyebrows. "Ok. Wow. Go on." I took a deep breath. "Ethan is his twin brother. And he hates me. He doesn't approve of me and Grayson dating." I told her everything that happened in the car.

Lucy pulled me into a hug. "Im so sorry G." After our little moment I was good. "Ok so what you're gonna do is put on your swimsuit, we're all going to the beach, and you're gonna ignore him and be the bad bitch that you are! Ok?" I smiled. "Ok!"

I changed into my navy blue one piece that had coral and pink strips on the front. I left my hair down and put on jean shorts and a yellow tee shirt woth brown sandals. We all walked down to the shore together. Lucy and I laid out on beach towels while Ethan and Beck walked off somewhere. "See? This isn't so bad! Just us girls hanging out, relaxing, getting a tan. Without any NEGATIVE PEOPLE!" She kinda yelled the last part hoping Ethan would hear.

I laughed a little. I heard my phone ringing from inside the pocket of my shorts that were laying in the sand.

"Hello?" "Hey baby!" "Hey whats up?" "Ok, so would you prefer leaving in the morning or closer to the evening?" "Like leaving to go or leaving to come back home?" "Like leaving to go. Im buying our tickets online right now." "It doesn't really matter to me babe. Whichever works best for you." "Ok. Well the tickets to leave in the morning are cheaper so is that ok with you?" "Of course." "Ok great. Morning it is! Alright I'll talk to you later. I love you bye." "I love you too bye."

I slipped my phone back in my in my shorts. I looked over and Lucy was grinning ear to ear. "Was that him?" She asked excitedly. "Yes it was. He was calliny about plane tickets." She sqeauled. "Can I see a picture of him?!?"  I scrolled through my screenshots. I showes her a picture of Grayson with a snapchat filter on. I was having a rough day and he was sending me selfies to cheer me up.

"Wow, he looks just like Ethan." "Um no! Grayson is nicer!" We both laughed. "Race you to the water?" We both got up and ran in to the ocean. A huge wave came in and knocked me down and my mouth filled with salt water. Great. A hand reached out and helped me up.

Without looking I grabbed it and was pulled out of the water. "You ok?" Oh no. Ethan. This was the first time he spoke to me since we left the gas station. "Im fine." I pushed my wet hair out of my face and walked away. He grabbed my arm. "Im sorry." I looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "For being an asshole. I know about Colorado and I heard you talking about Grayson to Lucy before we left the beach house." I stayed silent and he let go of my arm.

"Look, I know how much Gray means to you and I know how much you mean to him. And I'm not one to stop you or hate you for it. Cause I feel the same way about Beck. So yes, we can start over. Hi, I'm Ethan." We shook hands. "Hi, I'm Gracey. And I love your brother." We laughed.

Maybe this trip won't be so bad after all.
