Chapter Two:

Abducted By An Alien

___

"No."

THE DOCTOR'S SMILE INSTANTLY DROPPED AT EVERLEIGH'S BLUNT RESPONSE, and before he could even try and convince her otherwise, she was already crossing the empty road towards her apartment building. This guy was insane, absolutely nuts, she told herself.

"There's really no convincing you, is there?" He huffed from behind her, trying to keep up with Everleigh's quick speed-walk.

"Nope, you are insane."

She heard him sigh from behind her when she finally reached the door of the building, "Well, I'm sorry about this, love, but you'll thank me later." Before Everleigh could even contemplate his words in her mind, she was being thrown over his shoulder with ease.

"What the hell are you doing? Doctor! Put me down you maniac!" Everleigh screeched, hitting his back with her fists and flailing her legs as much as she possibly could. This didn't seem to affect him at all, as he just kept casually walking towards the alleyway beside her building.

"I am doing this for your own good, Leigh." He spoke nonchalantly with a twinge of amusement, carrying the girl to what looked to be an old 1950's police box. A faint burn pulsed in Everleigh's chest uncomfortably as she spotted it, making her grimace in discomfort.

"You're kidnapping me!" She yelped in protest, the back of his tweed jacket balled tightly in her fists.

"No. I'm not - I'm not kidnapping - no. No!" He insisted before halting in his step to think for a moment, "Okay. Well, maybe I am. But, I know it's going to work out okay because I know future you." He chirped happily, with a bounce in his step.

That sentence alone was enough to make Everleigh's head hurt. "This is so messed up." She groaned into the Doctor's embrace, tiredly squeezing her eyes shut. She heard a loud click of fingers and then the creak of a door, that's when she had noticed the Doctor had stopped.

Keeping her eyes firmly shut, Everleigh felt him gently place her on the ground, standing behind her with his hands softly gripping her upper arms. She could only hear the thundering pound of her heartbeat and feel the buzz of his hesitant, slight caress on her clothed arms.

As Everleigh's feet landed firmly on the floor, a rhythmic drum-like headache subsided in the back of her head, making her wince. As if the Doctor sensed the girl's discomfort, his grip on her arms tightened ever so slightly and he shuffled closer so that the two were back to chest. The pain almost instantly dulled at his touch.

Everleigh so desperately wanted to open her eyes. To witness what wondrous enigma she would be graced with. But, she couldn't. She was too scared. She knew the minute that she opened her eyes, she would be transfixed; her life would change.
