A tear fell down my face, but I furiously wiped it away, trudging through the woods. I could hear Police sirens behind me, and the last thing I needed was to be caught.

I hiked up my skirt, hearing voices behind me. "She went this way."

I ran faster as footsteps approached. How was I going to explain what had happened to the police?

Sorry, my girlfriend just turned into a demon.

I looked behind me as police approached. "Surrender or we'll shoot."

I turned around for a split second, continuing to run. I could see a clearing ahead, it would provide less coverage, but I didn't see any other options.

I heard a gunshot, and in an instant, a blinding, burning pain seared through my thigh. I kept running, stumbling into the clearing.

The shouting suddenly stopped. I turned around, the police suddenly gone from where they were standing.

My vision started to cloud over and I tripped my way to flat land.

I was missing shoes, my once perfect curls were now flat and falling apart.

the hem of my white dress was muddy and covered in salt from the roads, along with the gold dust that had fallen from my girlfriend's body. I guessed it was also covered in my blood now.

I wiped more angry tears from my eyes, trying to gain a sense of where I was.

In a half of a second, my adrenaline rose up to 100% again.

I was pushed to the ground by a wave of water and sand, as five people emerged from a smoking pile of wood that fell into the ocean.

I stood up,brushing sand off of my already destroyed dress. In an instant I was lined up with three others, faced by a somewhat annoyed mob of people. My head instantly went to a firing squad. It seemed like either way I would be held at gunpoint, whether I faced the law, or tried to escape it.

I looked over to the people who stood next to me. There was a small Latino boy, who looked like a delightfully confused Christmas elf, at the end of the line. Then there was a beautiful girl, with a choppy braided hairstyle, her hands in fists. Next to me, stood a blonde boy, who looked like a fierce warrior, but underneath the shell of strength was a look of pain. He met my gaze and the confusion suddenly took over his whole face. He was about to open his mouth, but a blonde girl, who had also been in the wreck, spoke first.

I tried to listen, to figure out where I was, but the pain in my leg was searing through anything else. It was amazing I had made it this far without passing out.

"Not to but in," The girl spoke, looking at me, "who're you?"

I raised my hands in defense. "I don't know why I'm here. I don't even know what this place is."

The bald headed boy next to the blonde girl spoke. "Annabeth, she's wearing a white dress." He muttered.

The girl, Annabeth, stared at me, then looked to the boy next to me. "Gods." She suddenly looked exhausted.

"What's your name?" She demanded.

I bit my lip. If they knew my name, they could turn me in.

"What is your name?" She demanded again, staring me in the eyes.

I cowered, not wanting to fight anymore. "Primrose Jackson. Everyone calls me Pepper." I tried to stand up, and face my punishment.

The group behind her muttered. She raised a hand, silencing them. "We need to take you two to Chiron." She pointed to me and the boy.
