IT HAD BEEN A HARD COUPLE OF DAYS EVER SINCE I PUSHED JOHNNY AWAY. i knew it was the right thing to do, but still, the right things are always the hardest. the worst part is, he didn't realize how much it had hurt me. how much him hanging out with girls broke my heart. he didn't see it.
Hayden, Brynn, Lauren and Annie all knew how hard this was for me. they wanted to tell him, but i couldn't let him worry about me in the middle of his tour. so they didn't. i was very sad so Maddie decided she was visiting this weekend. i hadn't seen her since i joined the school and i missed her so much. it was now saturday. my blonde sister arrived yesterday night and now me, her and Brynn were hanging out before going for lunch with Annie and Lauren.
we heard the door opening harshly. "mack" i heard Hayden's voice saying. he entered our room and sat next to me in my bed, kissing the top of my head. "oh hi" Maddie said "oh, i'm Hayden sorry" he said embarrassed. "hi Hayden" Maddie gave me those judgy eyes of her "he's my pas de deux" i said before she jumped into any conclusions. "do you need anything Hay?" it was very unsusual of him to come to my room out of nowhere. we always planned our hang out sessions ahead. "uh, yeah..." he was embarrassed. "i, uh, you know i've always kind of liked Lauren and stuff. i want to ask her out..." he dragged.
me and Brynn immediately looked at each other. "wait really??" i asked while turning to him "yeah really, i kind of wanted to do it today, but i need your help" he said. "okay, i'll help you" i said smiling at my best friend. "honestly about time Hayden" Brynn said making all of us laugh. "i have a plan".

⏱ lauren's pov
EVER SINCE JOHNNY LEFT FOR TOUR THE GROUPS HAVE GOTTEN REALLY CLOSE. me, Brynn and Mackenzie are constantly hanging out. Annie sometime joins us. it's like the fact that we all miss him brings us together. today me and the girls were going out for lunch. at least we were supposed too. until they texted me telling me that they were suddenly unable too. i'm sorry my sister wants to go shopping was Mackenzie's excuse Asher needs me Annie said. Brynn just said she couldn't.
that was very odd of them. they never missed our things. but i didn't argue. it was now night time. i had spent the whole day alone in my room so when someone knocked on the door i jumped excitedly, maybe i was finally going to be able to hang out with someone. when i opened it, i didn't find anyone there, i stepped outside and felt something on my toes. it was a bouquet of daisies, my favorite flowers, with a note stuck to it. nothing compares to you. not even the prettiest sunset. i smiled to myself. meet me in the roof. it said in the end. i don't know who sent me that, although i wished it was a particular someone, but they were sweet. they knew my favorite flowers. and that i loved sunsets.
i dropped the bouquet in the room and got my jacket, ready to head to the roof. when i got there i saw a beautiful setting. there were more daisies spread through the floor and there was a fort with twinkly lights and a lot of pillows and blankets. i didn't see anyone there though. "hey" i turned around and was met with the one person i hoped was there. Hayden. "Hayden?" i asked. sure, i liked him, but i never thought he felt the same way. "yeah. look Lauren, i know we haven't known each other long but, i really like you so i wanted to know if you'd want to go on this date with me?" he said pointing at the whole set up.
i was kind of stunned at that moment. it took me a couple of seconds to recover and respond "of course" i said smiling at and pulling him in a hug. we pulled away and Hayden grabbed my hands and lead me to the fort. inside there were some food and Hayden's laptop, with Netflix opened. "thank you for this Hayden" i said, settling in the tent. "you deserve this and much" he answered smiling.
and that's how our first date went. we enjoyed the view, the food, the movie but mostly each other's company. as i was entering my room, i decided to be bold. i turned around to find Hayden still there, waiting for me to get in. i grabbed his cheeks and pecked his lips. "goodnight Hayden. thanks for today" i said before heading inside my room leaving a still chocked curly headed boy outside. that was a perfect first date for us. fist of many i hope.
