IT HAD BEEN ABOUT A MONTH SINCE THE SHOW. things were going unimaginably good. my mom had completely changed with me and Maddie. sure, it didn't make up for all that had happened in the past, but she was someone i could trust now. she even told Dale to put me on the music program officially. as for Johnny, we still weren't dating. i don't know why tho. we kissed, we cuddled. we did everything together. he just hadn't asked me yet. if he was ever going to do it.
today was a saturday and me and Hayden would normally watch movies all day, but he had a date with Lauren so i was alone. Brynn had gone home for the weekend to see her boyfriend and Annie and Asher were on a date too. it seemed like everyone around me was on a relationship but me. i didn't know where Johnny was tho. at least not until my phone buzzed.

i headed for the music room. it had been quite some time since i've been there. between balancing the music and the dance program, hanging out with my friends and John, i hadn't had much time. when i got there i saw Johnny siting in a stool with his guitar in hand. "hey" i said. he looked up at me and smiled "hey, come here i want to show you something" he said. i sat down in front of him and he started strumming on his guitar. i know, you know. what if i told you i like you. we stay, we go. what if i told you i like you. "that's all i have for now" he said. i was very confused, and i think he could see that. "okay, there's two reasons why we're here. first..." he turned around to grab something from behind him. when he picked it up i could see a bouquet of daisy's, my favorite flowers, and a little box. he have me the flowers as he said "we are here because it's were it all started and so it seemed right to do this here. and by the way, i'm sorry it has taken me so long to do this, but, i wanted it to be special so i went looking for this" he said while opening the box.
inside there was a key with the top part in the shape of a heart. "it's for your necklace that i gave you. i don't know if you still wear it but..." i interrupted him by taking it from under my shirt making him smile "it's supposed to mean you have the key to my heart. i love you and i wanted to ask if you'd be my girlfriend?" he asked. he was so sweet. i was wondering all this time if he was ever going to do it when he was just searching for something to make this perfect "i love you too, and of course" i said leaning in to kiss him. after that he took my necklace off and put the key next to the lock before putting it back on me. "you're so special you don't even know" i said to him before hugging him, which earned a giggle from him.
as we pulled away he said "the second thing is, i want us to write that song together. and sing it" he took a breath "i only have the chorus for now but if we work together i think we can..." "yes, we'll do it" i said. i could see the happiness in his eyes. he loved music and he wanted me to be a part of it with him. "but we can do this later, come on let's go out" he said while putting his guitar by the side and grabbing my hand dragging me to god knows where.
that was a very special day. but then, every day since i got into this school had been special in its own way.
