Chapter 62: Lilly

The next morning, I woke up before Roger. I pulled on some of Roger's sweatpants and my tank top before walking into the kitchen. I was about to make some breakfast when Anita walked through the door with Dunkin Donuts.

"I was up early," she said. "So I got us coffee and donuts." I smiled and she handed me my coffee. She had been around long enough to know how everyone liked their coffee. I grabbed a donut and sat down at the table.

"Thank you," I said. "This is great, now I don't have to cook." Anita laughed softly.

"So how was your night last night?" She asked me.

"Wonderful," I said. "Well, until I realized I could hear you and Freddie through the walls." Anita blushed and laughed shyly.

"Sorry about that," she said. "Walls are thin."

"That's ok," I said. "Trust me Freddie was much louder than you were." Anita laughed softly then sighed, looking away. "Is everything ok?" I asked her.

"Yes," she said hesitantly. I raised my eyebrows and she sighed again. "Fine, no," she said.

"Is something going on with Brian?" I asked her.

"No Brian's wonderful," she said. "And he's been much happier since he started therapy. He still has his bad days, but it's nothing we can't handle, and he's so sweet to me, even when he's having a rough day."

"So what's wrong then?" I asked her.

"Do you guys actually like me?" She asked suddenly.

"You guys?" I questioned.

"The whole group," she said. "You, Winter, Rory, Ben, Joe, etc.! Do you like me?"

"Of course we do!" I said. "What a silly question! Why would you think we didn't like you?"

"It's not anything you did," she said. "Or any of the guys from Queen or the other girls from Venus. In fact, you are all very kind to me... except Veronica."

"You think Veronica doesn't like you?" I asked her.

"She's never mean to me," Anita said. "But sometimes it just seems like she just doesn't want me there. And I know she was close to Chrissy so..."

"You think she's angry with you because you came between Brian and her best friend," I said.

"Exactly," she said. "And I also made it harder for her to spend time with Chrissy. Has she talk to Chrissy much since she and Brian broke up?"

"I don't know," I said. "They're still roommates, so she must see her sometimes, but Ronnie's always here with John." Anita sighed. "Anita that's not your fault," I said. "Ronnie can see Chrissy whenever she wants."

"I don't think she sees it that way," Anita said. I was about to say something else when Freddie, John, Veronica and Brian walked into the kitchen. Brian gave Anita a kiss on the cheek and Veronica made a disgusted face. Damn, maybe Anita was right.

"Good morning, darling," Freddie said happily to me.

"Hey Fred," I said. "I'd ask how your night was, but I think I already know."

"What do you mean?" He asked. I looked at Freddie and started mimicking his screams from the night before.

"Oh please, darling!" He said, stopping me. "I wasn't that loud, the walls are just thin."

"Actually, I could hear you too, Fred," Anita said. "The walls aren't that thin." Freddie blushed and looked away.

"I couldn't hear him," Veronica said. "Maybe I was enjoying myself a little more than you. It's easy when you know you didn't steal your man from somebody else." I glared at her and I was about to say something when Roger suddenly came running in, shirtless.

"I have some amazing news!" He said.

"So amazing you forgot to get dressed all the way?" John asked. Roger looked down and looked back up, brushing off the fact that he wasn't wearing a shirt.

"Never mind that," he said. "Remember when we all recorded those demos back in April?" We all nodded. A few months ago, we had all recorded some songs with our bands in the hopes to get somewhere, but we didn't know if it would lead anywhere.

"Well there's a record company based out of New York City that saw us, and they loved both the bands! They want to do a promotional tour of America with Queen and Venus and then if that goes well, we might record albums!"

"You're kidding!" I said excitedly. "That's incredible!" I stood up and ran over to Roger, kissing him while everyone else celebrated.

"I'm calling the girls," I said. "We have to celebrate!"
