Our first day on the beach turned out to be wonderful. Ella wasn't a water person, but Winter, Rory and I managed to coax her into swimming, and by that I mean we dumped a bucket of water on her while she was tanning. She was not happy, but she got over it. Roger, Brian and John played some soccer on the beach while Veronica tanned with Ella, and Lucy and Rami pretty much spent time with each other, which was not out of the ordinary. We went back up to the house around five. We wanted to go out to dinner, but we didn't know where Freddie was. I decided I should call him.

"Hello, darling," he answered.

"Hi Fred," I said. "Where are you?"

"Jim and I had a long lunch and then went to get ice cream," he said. "Then we went for a walk on the beach."

"Oh so it's going well," I said happily.

"It will be once I get off the phone with you," Freddie said.

"I just want to know if you'll be home for dinner," I said. "We're going out."

"I don't think so, darling," Freddie said. "Jim and I want to continue this night so I think we're going to get food."

"Ok sounds good," I said. "I'll see you later."

"Wait, Lilly!" He said, stopping me from hanging up. "What time will you all be home?"

"I don't know," I said. "Probably around nine we're not leaving for a little while. Why?"

"No reason," he said. "Goodbye!" He hung up without letting me say goodbye too.

"That was weird," I said.

"Is Freddie going to eat with us?" Lucy asked.

"No," I said. "But he wanted to know what time we would be back. I don't know why."

"I know why," Winter said. "He wants to bring Jim back here so they can get it on while everyone's out."

"You really think so?" I asked.

"I guarantee it," Winter said.

"I don't know about that," Rory said. "He barely knows him."

"He called him his future husband the day he met the guy, and he didn't even know his last name," Winter said. "Trust me, they're gonna fuck. I'd even put money on it." I rolled my eyes.

"Just go get ready for dinner," I said.

"Yes mom," Winter said sarcastically heading upstairs to shower.

For once we had a great dinner. There were no fights and everyone was in a good mood. Afterward, we went home to watch a movie. We had no idea if Freddie had come home yet, but we assumed he was fine. Part of me was worried about him. Ever since the attack in December, not knowing where he was at night was terrifying. I've had nightmares about him lying on the street in the snow, freezing and unconscious. Nothing had happened since then, but part of me was still scared he would be hurt again. Just like part of me was scared Roger would be hurt by his father again, but I had to put those thoughts out of my mind. Freddie was on a date with a nice guy and Roger was far away from his father. This is a vacation. I should be enjoying myself. After the movie ended, I decided to put my fears out of my mind and get some sleep. Roger came in while I was changing. Before I could put my pajama shirt on, Roger wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck.

"Well hello to you too," I said with a small giggle.

"Hello beautiful," he whispered. "You want to have a little fun before bed?" Roger started kissing up my neck to my jawline.

"Not tonight, baby," I said softly. "I'm really tired."

"You know you really are a tease," Roger said, disappointed.

"I'm sorry, my love," I said. "I promise, we'll do it tomorrow."

"Damn right we will," Roger said. "You know what tomorrow is, don't you?"

"Sunday?" I asked.

"Yes," he said. "And it's also our six month anniversary."

"Oh my God," I said. "I totally forgot, I'm so sorry!"

"It's alright," Roger said. "I know plenty of ways you can make it up to me." He kissed me and I kissed him back before we snuggled into bed together.

The next morning, I woke up to the smell of bacon and pancakes in the kitchen. I looked over the balcony and saw Lucy in the kitchen. She was always up early. I was about to walk downstairs to eat when I saw Freddie walking out of his bedroom.

"Good morning, darling," he greeted me, a little too happily.

"Good morning, sweetie," I said. "Someone's happy this morning. Any particular reason why?" My question was quickly answered when I saw Jim walking out of Freddie's room.

"Good morning, Lilly," Jim said.

"Good morning, Jim," I replied. "Sleep well?" Freddie rolled his eyes and Jim smiled and nodded.

"I should be getting back to my friends," Jim said. "But I'll see you for dinner tonight, love?"

"Of course, dear," Freddie said back. Jim kissed Freddie's cheek and started walking downstairs.

"How sweet," I cooed at Freddie. "Your husband's taking you out to eat."

"Tease all you want, darling," Freddie said. "At least somebody in this house had sex last night."

"You got me there," I said. "I just have one more question though; when you and Jim are... you know... who's on top?" Freddie scoffed and walked downstairs to get breakfast. I chuckled as I started walking downstairs as well. I ran into Winter on the second floor.

"Did you see Jim?" She asked.

"I did," I answered.

"You owe me $20," Winter said.

"I never bet you!" I argued.

"Lucky you," Winter said with a smirk as she walked downstairs. I rolled my eyes and followed her to get some food.
