Chapter 72: Lilly

I went to meet the girls for rehearsal after class and found them all huddle together in the music room. They looked concerned

"What's going on guys?" I asked.

"We got an interesting invite today, Lilly," Ella said.

"Interesting isn't even the word," Winter said. "It's an invite to TKE's Halloween party!"

"TKE?" I questioned. "Wait, isn't that Nick Diamond's fraternity?"

"Yes," Ella said. "We already talked to the rest of the group, Brian said Queen was invited and Gwilym said an invite was sent to his apartment for him, Joe and Ben."

"Lucy said her and Rami got one too," Winter said.

"Anita and Ronnie both said they were invited too," Rory said. "Those assholes beat up Freddie and Roger and now they have the nerve to invite us to their party! Can you believe that?"

"So what?" I said. "We just won't go. No big deal."

"Lilly you don't get it," Rory said. "The invite is from Nick himself." She handed me the invitation and I examined it. "He sent it to us Lilly," Rory continued. "He's supposed to be in jail."

"No, this doesn't make any sense," I said. "We put him away a month ago and he was found guilty of two assaults, along with three of his friends. They almost killed Freddie and one of his friends stabbed Roger! That's assault with a deadly weapon, it's even worse!" We heard a knock on the door and turned to see all the guys from Queen with Anita, Jim and Veronica. Not long after, they were followed by Ben, Joe, Gwilym, Lucy and Rami.

"Did everyone get this invite?" Lucy asked.

"I can't believe those arseholes are out of jail," Roger said.

"We're not going to the party right?" Freddie asked nervously. "Because I-I really don't want to go." Freddie was shaking softly and Jim tried to comfort him.

"Do you see what they did to Freddie?" Winter snapped. "I can't believe those fuckers are back on the street."

"I can't believe the school let them keep their frat after all that," Ella said. "If they're not going to be in jail, at the very least they should be expelled and TKE should be disbanded."

"TKE should have been disbanded years ago," Rory said. "Do you know how many female students reported they were sexually assaulted at their parties? They're basically the rape frat."

"It's not just female students," Jim said. "A couple of my male friends went to their St. Patrick's Day party last year and woke up sore and in a bad place."

"They beat up Freddie because he was gay and then raped a bunch of guys?" Winter said. "Unbelievable. They deserve to be shut down."

"So let's do it," I said after a brief pause.

"Do what?" Anita asked.

"Let's shut them down," I said. "We'll make petitions, get signatures and talk to the dean! I'm sure there are plenty of people who would agree that they do more harm than good for this campus. Lets's shut them down and kick those four guys out of school!"

"Lilly, that's a brilliant idea!" Roger said. "Let's do it!"

"I'll help!" Lucy said. "I can make some really nice protest signs!"

"I know I don't go to school here," Jim said. "But can I help too?"

"Of course, darling!" Freddie said happily. "He can help, right Lilly?" I smiled and nodded in agreement.

"I don't know about this," Veronica said. "If we're going to petition the dean, we need honest people. Maybe Anita and Lilly should sit this one out."

"Oh fuck off, Veronica!" Rory snapped suddenly.

"Rory-"

"Save it, Deaky," Rory interrupted John. "I know you love her, but she's been acting like a bitch for way too long. Ronnie, I know you have a problem with Anita and Ronnie being involved with cheating or whatever, but Roger has forgiven Lilly, Brian has moved on, and I honestly refuse to believe Chrissy is still mad. Just get over yourself, it's not your business anyway!" Veronica scoffed and looked at John.

"Are you not going to defend me?" She asked.

"Darling, you have been a bit short with Anita and Lilly," John said. "Maybe you should just let it go." She was about to say something else, but John shot her a look.

"Fine," she said.

"I think you owe some people an apology," Rory said.

"Don't push it, Valentina," Veronica snapped. Rory scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"It's not a big deal," I said. "We can just drop it. We have more pressing matters to tend to anyway."

"Are we doing this now?" Brian asked.

"I don't see why not," Joe said. "The sooner the better right?" Everyone nodded in agreement.

"Alright then," I said with a smile. "Lucy, why don't you get started on some signs, I'll make petitions for everyone and Brian you try to get a meeting with Dean Brooks, let's say two weeks from now. We should be able to get enough signatures by then."

"I'll help Lucy with signs," Freddie said. "I love art projects."

"Lilly," Jim chimed in. "Perhaps I should talk to some people at my school who went to the TKE parties. They would most definitely be on our side."

"That's a great idea Jim," I said. "If the dean considers shutting them down, they'll have a hearing and we'll need people on our side."

"Sounds like a good plan," Brian said. "Let's get to it!" We all left to work on our individual jobs. This should be interesting.
