Song: Animal I Have Become by Three days grace

THOMAS POV

I wake up with Brenda laying across my chest sound asleep. I gently lift my arm and tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. I see her eyes flicker open and I smile. "Morning" I say as she rubs her eyes. "Morn-" is all she gets out before she yawns. I giggle slightly laughing at the fact that she is so tired. "Sorry, I didn't get much sleep", she says while trying to fix her hair. "I got the best night of sleep I have had in a while" I say feeling quite proud. "I had this bad pain in my back all night" she says rubing her back. "Here let me see" I say as she pulls up her shirt. "See anything?" She asks. I can't help but stare, how, when, what is that?!

BRENDA POV

*8 hours earlier*

We finish our "session" and I see Thomas fall asleep. I lay my head on his chest, I can't believe we survived. I feel a quick sharp pain in my back. "Ow..." I try to rub it but it is no use, it hurts really bad. Like someone cut my back open. I try to fall asleep but the pain keeps me awake.

*7 hours earlier*

I can't sleep. This is unbearable. I don't know what this is. I begin to cry but not loud enough to wake Thomas.

*6 hours earlier*

I finally fall asleep. The pain subdued long enough for me to sleep.

THOMAS POV

There is a long needle like object in her back and veins are popping out around it. "Oh my god-" before I can finish I am hacking and coughing trying not to throw up. It was disgusting, but I can't help but throw up. I finish and collect my self enough to talk to her. "Brenda I'm so-" "What is it?" She asks calmly. "I dont-i don't know..." "WHAT IS IT?!?!" She yells. "It looks like a Griever sting, but the needle stayed in you". Her face goes so pale I thought about making her sit down. "Brenda we need to get you help" I say trying to catch up to her as she began to pace back and forth. She begins to turn really pale and then she reaches for her back we a slight moan. But she doesn't make a noise when she hits the ground.
