I was up and saw Kassidy still sleep beside me. I didn't wanna wake her yet so I just got on out of bed and went to the bathroom, starting my shower. After my hygiene routine, I got dressed, sprayed some cologne, and ran my hands down my face going back in the room with Kassidy. She  was already up.

"Yesterday was so fun daddy, we gonna do it again?" She asked with a wide smile. I scratched my head through my beanie.

"Umm nah not today baby.." I said, seeing her smile dropped. I sighed .

"C'mon Kassidy stop being like that, daddy's doing it for you baby." I said . She looked down as her hair fell to the side of her face.

"Go on and take your bath baby girl.." I said. She slowly slid off the bed and went down the stairs, over to her room. I made my bed up and felt some paper under the covers and retrieved it, starting to read it : U  r de best daddy n the wurld, I wuv u . -Kas

I tucked my lips trying not to get emotional. I'm not even the sensitive type but that cut deep. I put it in my pocket and flung my pillows on the bed , getting my phone as it buzzed.

I put my phone in my pocket as I jogged downstairs to Kassidy's side of the house. I saw her bathroom door open so I knew she was already out.

"You ready?" I asked as I bent down in front of her. She sat on the bed as she put her shoes on. I saw a tear go down her cheek. I rolled my eyes, this shit was starting to irritate me but I had to remember that she was just a little kid plus she doesn't have her momma any more.

"What's wrong mama?" I asked. She wiped her face and kept tying her shoe.

"I want momma back." She said starting to pout. I took a deep breathe as I looked in her eyes and bit my bottom lip.

"Kas I don't know how to explain it to you but daddy does the best he can. I know you miss mommy." I said. She just looked down and got off the bed.

"I wanna go to school.." She said referring to daycare. I heard the doorbell.

"I'll get Gabby to take you, daddy has to go." I said, she looked up at me as I went downstairs, getting the door. Gabby looked a little different but better.

"Hey king about yeste-" she started but I cut her off.

"Nuh uh listen, just cheer her up. She get happy, I may fuck with you but none of that feelings shit.." I said. She slightly bit her lip and nodded. I shook my head and walked pass her, going to my red hummer.

"So y'all know where he be selling, b?" I asked as I was sitting on my desk, smoking a blunt. This was really only where I could freely smoke since I have Kas and personally refuse to smoke around her— these are influences I didn't want her openly exposed to so young . They both nodded.

"Somebody said he saw him the other night.." Isaiah said. I'm surprised he said a complete sentence.

"But they did say he be changing his routes so he could be anywhere within a few weeks.." Michael said.I nodded my head in understanding.
