Genesis

Few days had past , King has been focused on nothing but the trap, finding Nate, and Kassidy's party . I didn't have any problem , for now , since it's his job and that's his baby girl .

Kassidy been running around the house all day asking everybody what next Saturday was , we would all say her birthday and she'll go to screaming ' I'm bout to be 5.' with a dance included . It was cute and funny but it was getting old quickly .

I was vacuuming the front room as she slid her play vacuum along side of me . "Gene!" She screamed over the vacuum noise , I turned to her .

"Guess what Saturday is!!" She scream again . I nodded with a slight smile .

"I know , I know ! It's you birthday !" I screamed back .

"I'm gonna be five years old." She said holding up her hand . I nodded as I turned the vacuum off , wrapping up the cord .

"Come on , you wanna go to the store with me?" I asked , she nodded before running over to her room for shoes . I put the vacuum up and went upstairs to the room as I put on some shoes too . I went to the bathroom and looked at my hair .

"Emm.." I mumbled as I could feel my tracks loosening up . "New sew in.." I stated .

I got my purse and my keys to my car as Kassidy ran back out . "Ready?"

"Ready Freddy !" She cheesed , I laughed as I walked over to King's office , peeping in .

"No, all around the building! Why would you put security cameras on one side of the warehouse B?"

"Aye King.." He turned around to me as he was still on the phone . "Me and Kassidy is about to go to the store." He nodded .

"Aight... No. That's not what I meant.." He started back talking on the phone so I just closed the door . I walked back to the front , grabbing Kassidy's hand as we walked out to my car .

"We need to put one of your booster seats in here." I said as I opened one of King's doors and got one out , shutting it back .

I put it in the backseat of my car .

"I'm almost 5, I'm too old for booster seats."

"You're never too old for safety baby." I said kissing her temple .
I helped her buckle up before closing the door and getting in the driver's seat .

"So then Minnie Mouse had went with Mickey Mouse to talk to that big fat guy , I forgot his name.." Kassidy was explaining a episode of Mickey Mouse clubhouse to me.

"Pete?" I asked . She nodded quickly .

"Yea! Pete! So they was like.." She trailed off as I tuned her out a bit , reaching up for some detergent tabs . I put it in the basket before thinking of what else we may need .

"Garbage bags.." I grabbed a big box of them and placed them in the basket .

"Genesis!!" I heard Kassidy scream making my head snap back and heart start racing .

"Oh my god Kassidy!" I yelled out as I started sped walking , looking through aisles .

I got to the toy aisle and saw her running up to me . "Look!!" She yelled , showing me a Minnie Mouse toy . I put my hand on my forehead and calmed myself down .

"Kassidy , please don't run off like that , ok?" I said , she nodded .

I picked her up as I looked at the toy . "Do you want it?" She nodded .
