Episode 41

Hue

Isang buwan na ang nakalipas. Hindi pa rin ako nakakapagdesisyon kung sasama ba ako kina Mum sa California o hindi.

Ayokong iwan si Cygny. Ayokong malayo sa kanya. Mababaliw ako. Ni malayo nga lang sa kanya nang isang minuto ay sobra na ang paka-miss ko sa kanya, ang malayo pa kaya sa kanya nang ilang taon o buwan?

Nagulat nga ako noong malaman kong alam niya ang tungkol dito. That time, I threw my worst fit at Mum. She should've not told this to her. I know my girlfriend, she will really stressed herself out just for her to convince me.

The first week of her so called mission-convince-Hue-to-study-abroad turned out to give me whiplash. She is not convincing me-- she is practically, pursuading me. That week is too tough for us that we are always ending up fighting every time we discuss about it.

Fortunately, we managed to survive the first week with us not breaking up.

The second week is different. Instead of her pursuading me to go to California, she pursuaded me to just stay. She aborted her own mission without even giving it a good fight. She told me that she can't live without me, that I should stay for I might just cheat on her. Muntik na kaming mag-away noong oras na iyon. Ako nga ang dapat matakot, eh. Sobrang ganda niya kaya. Malamang, madaming aaligid na Senior Highschoolers sa kanya next school year.

Dahil dito, mas lalong naging komplikado ang pagdedesisyon ko.

Ngayon ang third week. Okay na ang paa ko at nakakalakad na rin ako nang ayos. Parang gago akong napapangiti dahil sa wakas, makaka-akyat na uli ako sa kwarto ng girlfriend ko mamayang gabi.

Speaking of my gorgeous babe, she is taking a shower. Pinawisan kasi siya sa ginawa namin. Nag-jogging kasi kami kaninang umaga.

I'm about to stand up when my cell phone suddenly rang. Mum's calling. Ayoko sanang sagutin pero paniguradong si Novy ang tatawagan niya kung hindi ko sasagutin. Ayoko nang ma-stress dahil sa akin si Novy kaya't sinagot ko na ang tawag.

"Oh?" I told my Mum.

"Mijo, you really need to go with us."

"I am not going, Mum."

"Mijo, listen. This is for you. You know your Abuela. You know what she is capable of, right?" Mum's voice is apalled and exhausted.

Kinabahan ako. "Yes." Yes, Mum. I fucking know it all. Alam ko na ang lahat, maski ang mga bagay na itinatago niyo sa akin.

"This is not just for you, this is also for the sake of Cygny." She sighed "Kung hindi ka sasama sa amin, hindi na ako makakapag-isip ng dahilan para pagtakpan ka pa. Kapag nangyari iyon, mapipilitan ang Abuela mo na pa-imbestigahan ka. Malalaman niya ang tungkol sa inyong dalawa ni Cygny."

Bumuga ako ng hangin. Pagod na pagod na talaga ako sa pamilyang 'to.

"I know that you know that Cygny's life is at risk the moment she knew about your relationship with her. She can ruin her on just a blink of an eye. I love Cygny, I really do. And I don't want her to get hurt because of our family."

She's crying. "Kaya for now, let's just follow your Abuela, okay? Cygny loves you and I know that your relationship with her won't end if you study abroad. She is a decent girl and I love her for you. For now, let's follow your Abuela and let's figure it out one step at a time. I won't tell her about you and Cygny, we will keep it a secret until you finally get the thrown of our Company. Wala nang magagawa ang Abuela mo kapag ikaw na ang hari ng kumpanya natin."
