Since the dawn of time, there has always been the concept of friend and foe, predator and pray. In the stone age cavemen understood that dinosaurs were on the top of the food chain and only looked at humans as a prey item, nor were they friends to humans which brings us to modern civilization.

In today's modern age instead of the threat of dinosaurs, there are ghouls. A Ghoul is a human-like predator that feeds on human flesh to survive. No one knows the true origin of ghouls, but what we do know is that they have been around for centuries. Like humans, ghouls can reproduce and have children. Like all predators, ghouls have weapons to kill or defend with called kagune. Kagune was the predatory organ ghouls have to produce their weapons.

Naturally, to combat the ghouls an organization was formed called the Commission of Counter Ghoul or CCG for short. The CCG was responsible for killing/capturing ghouls. At CCG headquarters in Lemoore California, the ghouls that are captured are interrogated for information and imprisoned for a very time.

To defend themselves ghoul investigators welded quinques, which are the ghouls kagune covered in steel for the investigator's use (Tokyo Ghoul Fandom). Everything was normal, humans are living their lives, the CCG hunting ghouls and the ghouls themselves just trying to survive, but one day a ghoul/vampire hybrid like no other was born. He would be powerful, ruthless and deadly. He would be respected and feared by his fellow ghouls and his name is Jack Williams.
