It's always the same dream. Everything around me is dark. I walk what feels like miles and miles of emptiness. I bump into an invisible glass and I get trapped like a mouse.
Looking behind me, there's a light surrounding a smaller me.

She just stares at me with those innocent blue eyes. What could she be thinking? I gently press a hand on the wall but the ground starts to crack underneath me. She walks up to me and slowly levitates to my height.
Then she presses her forehead against the wall. Almost like she is trying to hug me. I slightly open my mouth, but I get swallowed by the darkness all too fast.
I feel myself drowning with the water under the floor. I unwillingly grip my own throat. I wanted to stop hurting. As everything starts to become blurry, there's a light.
It hugs me closely, I feel a white, lightweight, dress get put on me. I start to feel safe. The light that was hugging me gently lets me go and I sink into the ground once more. But not into the darkness.

I feel my feet make contact with the cold glass floor. I can finally breathe underwater. Light is shining around me. I begin to walk again into the nothingness. I don't know how long I walk for until I hear a small girl's voice call my name.
Her voice was getting closer and closer. Each time she got closer her voice started to sound scared. As I turn around the only thing I see of the child is her crying eye.
I try to yell her name and reach my hand out to her, but the water starts to suffocate me all too quick. I cover my mouth with my hands but I feel my body start to ache.
I look down at my dress and there's blood splatters all over it. There was a handprint of a small child's hand on my chest, it was the darkest red of all. I slowly fall backwards, feeling weaker and weaker. The ceiling above me was glass as well.
My blue eyes started to get duller and darker. I just wanted to fall asleep, I want to be free. I close my eyes completely and I fall into someone's warm, strong arms. My breathing gets weaker and shallow. They held me closer to their body.
