A few days have passed since I started to train with my parents. On the upside, I have their full attention. On the downside, this training HURTS! I was being put through different eye tests every day. There was one day, I got sprayed in the eyes with a replacement of pepper spray, and I had to keep my eyes open as both of my parents attacked me like villains.
Today I was getting air blown at me by a giant fan if I jump the fan would send me flying to the wall behind me. I created boots that keep me to the ground, but all this air was hurting my eyes. I was trying my hardest to keep them open, but slowly they were starting to close. I then felt my mom give me a low kick to my feet, causing my already weak boots to be useless.
The kick caused me to fly up slightly, then the amount of air being pushed at my direction also caused me to slam against the wall I mentioned before. My dad turned off the fan and walked towards me. "You alright, Alane?" He said as he extended his hand towards me. "Yeah...my eyes are just kinda dry," I say as I began to rub them.
My dad then grips my wrist and lifts my sleeve, exposing the small cuts I had gotten a few moments earlier. "Why didn't you tell us you were bleeding?!" He said, obviously mad. I got a bit scared, "b-because, I thought i-it wasn't important!" My dad stared at me for a few seconds and let out a sigh. My mother came back with some bandaids and rubbing alcohol.
She very gently started to clean my cuts; it didn't hurt. She then applied the bandaids to my cuts. "Do you have any other cuts, Alane?" She asked. I only shook my head; I was telling the truth. My dad was about to say something until his phone rung.
He took it out and walked away as he answered. My mom then handed me a water bottle. "Are your eyes ok, sweetheart?" She said, taking a closer look at them. I giggled slightly. "Yeah! Well, I mean right now they are. Who knows what the hell you two are going to test me on later." My mom then patted my head. "You know we only do that, so your eyes can be accustomed to any substance thrown at you, right?" She then looked worried.
"Totally, mom! I get why! Don't worry about it!" I say quickly, trying not to make her feel so guilty. My dad came back and put his phone back in his pocket. "Something just came up. I'll be heading out right now. Sorry you two, I'll be back as soon as I can." He then started to walk towards the door.
I ran after him and grabbed his wrist. "Can I come with you, dad? Please?" He looked at me, and his face broke into a gentle smile. He knelt on one knee to be about my height and put a hand on top of my head. "Sorry, Alane. You don't have your license yet. But once I feel that your ready, you can come along with me. Ok?" I frowned, but I slightly nodded.
He gently moved some of my bangs out of my forehead and gave it a gentle, fatherly kiss. "I promise." He said, smiling a little more to reassure me. He then got off his knee and walked out the door. I then felt my mom put a hand on my shoulder. "It's ok, Alane...do you want to continue training, though?"
I look up at her and nod.

I walked on the rooftop, where I was told to meet him. Looking away, I noticed that the sun was starting to set. "So, you just gonna stand there or what?" Said the same voice that was on the phone. I look straight ahead, and I see him standing where it was once empty.
