Our internships were cut short by two days. It may not sound like a lot, but it's a huge deal. UA wanted us back early to prevent us from being exposed to something like that, I'm guessing only for now. I hope we can have some replacement for our training.

~Back at U.A~

Even though I was back at UA, we weren't going to have any classes; instead, the first years were told to go to the auditorium for an announcement. Since almost everyone was rushing to find a spot, I took a seat in just any random chair. I looked around to see if I knew anyone, but not to my surprise; I didn't.

I just kept quiet and waited for something to happen. The principal soon came on stage and gave us his usual greeting, and obviously, we all greeted him back. "Since many of you went to take your internships downtown, you might have heard about the nomus attacking there. Luckily, nobody was severely hurt from here. However, we discussed it would be a better option to cut the whole program short for a few days."

I managed to hear a few students sound very confused. Did they not know? "But to make up for the two days. We have decided to send you to a training camp instead. The location will not be revealed due to safety reasons. As a bonus, we have also decided that you will all spend an extra week there as well." I felt an excitement flow through my body.

This is such a good idea! I wanted to go right away to the camp! "Students in the hero course will depart late in the afternoon today. Therefore, they may leave first." 'Well...at least I got my wish granted.' I thought as I began to rush out the auditorium.

~Later~

I was all packed up and waiting for the bus to arrive along with my classmates. When the busses for some of the other classes came along, many students froze, and they looked towards one direction. Me being curious, I decided to look the same way, only to see my mom walking towards me.

"Mom?" I said as I walked towards her. "Is something wrong?" She smiled and shook her head a bit. "No, everything's fine. I just wanted to see you off safely." I felt my heart get warm. She then sat on one knee and gently cupped my face, pressing her forehead with mine. "Remember, Alane," she said, "be strong and never let your hopes whither away. Be safe and call us if anything happens."

I smiled back at her and nodded a bit. "Yep! Don't worry, mom; I'll be back in one piece!" She giggled softly and kissed my forehead, motherly. "Can I get a kiss too?!" Mineta said as he stared at us, literally drooling. My mom turned to him and had a straight face on. "Listen, you little fucking bitch," she said, "if I hear Alane say you tried to do anything to her, I will personally rip you to shreds until you beg for mercy. Do you understand?!?!"

My whole body froze. This is such a new side to my mom that I only stared with just shock to my face. Mineta, on the other hand, was trembling, crying, and looks like he was about to pee himself. "Y-yes ma'am!!" He said before running back to the class. My mom then turned to me with her tender smile. "Be safe now, Alane!"

I couldn't make out a sound; I just nodded, barely. Our bus had arrived, and we put our bags in the lower storage of the bus. I managed to get a window seat and saw my mom still standing there, once we saw each other we smiled and waved until the bus started to move. I didn't stop until I could no longer see her.

~Later~
~Night time~

A lot of students were sound asleep on the bus. Many leaned on each other like pillows. I don't blame them; these seats are starting to feel a bit uncomfortable now. I would get up and stretch, but Midoriya fell asleep on my shoulder. The only things I could do was listen to music, use my phone with one hand, or stare outside. I decided to do all three; I have nothing better to do either way.
