~Alane P.O.V~

My uncle forced Bakugo to sleep in one of the guest rooms we have in the building. Bakugo was yelling that he can take care of himself and all that. But my uncle wasn't having any of it. I didn't want to get involved, so I hurried down the hallway towards my room.

Once in my room, I closed the door behind me and turned on the lights, just bright enough to see. I headed towards the window to shut the curtains, but I stopped and felt saddened when I stared out.

The city looked like the sun was slowly rising from behind. Too bad that I knew that those were only fires. I shut the curtains and started to brush my hair before bed. After the first brushstroke, I stopped. My body was still aching pretty bad.

I limped now towards my bed, but then there was a knock outside my door. "Alane, open up. It's me, Taiyo. I have some medicine for your pain." I just sat on the bed and created a long arm that opened the door for me. My uncle walked in and closed the door behind him.

"I'm guessing it hurts a lot?" He said as he handed me the small pill container and a glass of water. "Yeah..well, I did almost go through a brick wall after all," I said. I plopped the pill in my mouth and chugged down some water. He then took the glass of water and threw away the now empty container from my hands.

"Geez Alane...you must have some pretty strong bones even to be walking...let alone running." I laid down, and he then started to tuck me in. "Is there anything else you need?" He said. I then turned to him, "do you know if my mom and dad are ok?" He stayed silent for a while. "Honestly, no, I don't know."

He must have seen the sadness wash over my face that he fidgeted a bit. "B-but listen!" He said, "your mom and dad are more powerful than we think. Like, they're numbers 11 and 12! You should be asking if the nomus will be ok when this is all over. They'll come back safe and sound." He then patted my forehead; I'm guessing he was scared that he would give me pain if he patted my legs or arms.

"You should get some sleep now. The medicine will kick in, so sleeping should be less painful." He then opened the door to leave. "Um...uncle?" I said. He turned around and looked at me. "What is it, Alane?" I lifted only my head slightly to see him better.

"Thanks for making me feel better. Have a good night! Love you!" I said, smiling. His stern face turned into a sincere smile. "Love you too, kiddo. Good night." He then shut the door once he left. Not long after, my eyes felt heavy, and I started to feel the medicine kick in at last.

~Next day~
~Taiyo P.O.V~

I was cutting and washing some fruit for Alane. I would have made some food for that Bakugo kid, but he must have gotten up early since he left. At least he cleaned the room before leaving. Once the small bowl was prepared, I put some oatmeal and some milk on the side, along with her medicine.

I picked up the tray and headed down to her room. Once opening the door quietly, I peeked in to see if she was still asleep. She was out cold. I carefully walked in and put the tray on the bed table next to her. I gently pressed my hand on her forehead to see if she had any fevers, thankfully she didn't.

Once I was out, I went to the living room, and I waited for my brother and my sister-in-law. To kill some time I turned on the T.V, and of course, the news was on every channel again. I gave up on switching and just stayed on a random one.

"After a terrible and frightening night of being attacked by the nomus, it is confirmed that the heroes have managed to defeat them." Said the reporter. "It is also reported that there was a count taken to see how many nomus did each hero kill. The highest was a tie of 70 nomus." 'First of all, why was there a count? Secondly, just how many were there?' I thought as I leaned towards the t.v more.
