A Bunch of Love and Hatred

do you really love me?

"Hermione,"

Draco Malfoy barely whispered her name as he sat on the edge of a king-sized bed beside the female brunette. Hermione was there long before he entered their room, as she was already covered with the soft, thick blanket while indulging herself with the book she's been reading for a few nights now.

"Do you really love me?" He questioned, opening up a copy of the Daily Prophet.

Upon hearing his inquiry, she lifted her eyes from the book she was reading, looked at him with curious hazel eyes, and asked, "Why a sudden question, Draco?"

"Nothing, I-I just want to make sure." He replied while trying to maintain a casual tone, and obviously hiding the shaking in his voice.

He didn't looked at her in the eyes though, but instead he locked his silver eyes on the newspaper he was holding, pretending to be reading the texts when in fact, he's just staring at it.

Hermione, however, shifted her position beside him, threw her arms around his waist, and hugged him tight. Her lips formed a smile when she felt the warmth in his body pressing against her cold, shivering ones. She really hated the winter seasons.

"Draco, my Draco Malfoy," resting her chin on his shoulder, he in return placed his on top of her head, "we've been dating for a year now, and we're literally living together, under the same roof. I do really love you, and don't you ever doubt about it again, okay?"

His long, slender hand caressed her muffled hair and lightly kissed her near the forehead, "I love you, Hermione."

Feeling her eyes getting heavy, Hermione murmured, "I love you, too" as she closed her eyes, embracing the warmth Draco gives.

Neither of them continued reading their book nor newspaper because even though without the verbal agreement, they perfectly understood they would love to call it a night. The couple adjusted their bodies until they were cuddled against each other comfortably in the middle of their king-sized bed.
