Charlie pulled me back to the house and I saw Livy across the room. I started to pull him across with me when someone placed a hand on my shoulder and spun me round.
"Hey, you're that girl from In'n'out burger, the one with Thomas and Dylan?"
A chorus of voices agreed with this guy and all I could do was nod my head in agreement, they all recognise me.
"How did you meet them?"
"Do you have their numbers?"
"Are they coming here?"
"Do you want to hang out sometime and bring them along?""STOP! Alright, I'm in a film with them and Thomas is my guardian while I'm in America. Yes I have their numbers because they're my friends, not they're not coming and what the hell no! Leave me alone!"
I stormed off towards Livy and Charlie followed close behind, pushing away anyone who was still interested.
"What was that, Faye?" Livy was furious. I'm not sure why. "You actually came in here expecting not to be recognised? And when you are, you flip out on everyone! You can't do that, this kind of thing can end your career." She snaps her fingers in front of my face. "Snap, gone, everything you dreamt of, everything you worked for gone." She picked up her bag and strolled out leaving me and Charlie on a sofa with the party continuing on behind us."It's not as bad as she makes it sound." He looked down at me, the soft look in his eyes made me want to simultaneously punch him and cry into his shoulder.
"I can't have ruined everything, right? I mean I was just getting some personal space." I stared at the painting on the wall in front of us. It showed a pack of hyenas approaching a lion cub. Seemed an accurate depiction of my situation.
"You'll be fine, something like this blows over quickly, soon people will have moved onto someone else." He got up and walked towards the drinks table, poured two cups of water and handed one to me. "I guess so, I've texted Thomas to come pick me up so I guess I'll see you around."
I walked to the door and got my phone out. Charlie walked after me. "Hey, could I have your number, I know it's-" He looked like a little boy who knew he wasn't going to get what he wanted. "Yeah, of course." I smiled as I put Charlie in as a contact just before Thomas pulled up.
"Hey, Faye are you ready?"
I opened the car door and looked back at Charlie, "I'll text you.""Wait, Charlie?" Thomas leant out of the car window. "I haven't seen you in ages, how're you doing?"
"Hang on, you know each other?" I turned my head between the two, Charlie never mentioned this.
"Yeah, we were in a film together ages ago, how've you been?" Thomas was practically climbing out of the window.
"Okay, gotten a few things here and there, but that film was my high point really. It was nice to see you again though and nice to meet you Faye." And with that Charlie was gone.- Back at the hotel -
(C is Charlie, F is Faye)F: hey it's Faye 😄
C: hey it's Charlie 😉
F: how come you never mentioned that you knew Thomas?
C: I honestly didn't think he'd remember me, he's done so many films and I was only a supporting character
F: he probably remembers everyone, I swear he's psychic sometimes 😂
C: I guess, do you want to hang out at some point?
F: yeah that'd be great, I finish on set at three tomorrow, so ice cream?
C: see you then
Seen at 11:47Again sorry for the long wait for an update, but schools started and Year Eleven is so tough on homework. Hope to get into the swing of things, but as usual don't expect anything.
