I don't know what just happened with Jack, but it will have to wait until after tonight. My head needs to be on straight for this afternoon. I got a lift back to the hotel with Dylan before going into Livy's room. I needed to find out what she meant last night.
I knocked on her door, I didn't expect her to want to talk to me, she sounded really upset last night. Surprisingly the door opened and her face appeared in the crack. She opened the door fully and gestured for me to go in. I gently sat on the end of her bed. "I'm sorry," we both said at the same time. This made us both smile. I continued, "I'm sorry I didn't expect to be recognised, it was naive and shortsighted." She nodded slowly as I spoke, "I'm sorry as well, I shouldn't have gotten annoyed at you, it's just I almost ended my career doing something similar to what you did and I didn't want you to go through that. I should have been more understanding and supportive." We both sat there for a moment before I noticed the time, 2:45. "I'm so sorry to run out like this Livy, but I have to meet someone, I'm glad we're on the same page again." She gave me a hug before whispering in my ear, "date by any chance?" She winked at me and pushed me out the door before I could correct her.
I walked from the hotel to the ice cream place. I checked my phone, 3:10, Charlie had texted me saying he would be late as well so I guess I'm not the only one who has no timing skills. I walked into the shop and sat down in the corner, I was wearing a baseball hat to avoid being recognised. I bent over my phone and looked up my name, I wanted to know how many pictures there were and what people were saying. The page was still loading when my hat flew up and onto the head of a certain brown eyed boy before he sat down nonchalantly in the chair in front of me.
"Not very inconspicuous there Faye, I spotted you from across the street." His grin spread across his face, his whole body was relaxed. "Well you were expecting me to be here so that doesn't count." I smiled back at him. "Ice cream?" I walked up to the counter and looked at all of the flavours, mint choc chip, salted caramel, butterscotch. "I'll have a vanilla please." Charlie was stood right behind me, his hands were on my shoulders as I turned round. "Vanilla? Really? You have all these wonderful flavours to choose from and you choose vanilla?" He laughed at my outrage, "Sometimes plain is the best, you can add your own touch to it." I rolled my eyes before ordering salted caramel and butterscotch. We sat down again and I asked for my hat back, he just pulled it down tighter into his head and smiled at me again. This was honestly starting to annoy me. We finished our ice cream and talked about acting and how I thought the film was going, I didn't realise how long he had been asking me questions, but I realised he knew a lot about me and I still didn't know much about him.
"So what's the deal with you and Thomas?" I asked. He sighed before putting down his ice cream.
"It was one of my first films and I still wasn't quite used to the whole actors lifestyle, I was a supporting character, Thomas' younger brother in fact. We got on well during filming, but my character died about halfway through the film so I wasn't there for all of it. We then just never kept in touch and he was already pretty famous then so I was almost too nervous to approach him again after that." I nodded slowly while scraping out the remnants of my ice cream from the tub.We talked while we walked back to the hotel and he dropped me off outside reception. "Today was great." He said. "Do you want to do something again. He looked nervous as he waited. "Yeah, I'd love to." I smiled before walking up to my room. This could be the start of a great friendship.
So this has been a bit of a short chapter but I just wanted to get it published. I'm planning on maybe doing some major plot editing, but it would just taking out parts that I'm not planning on continuing with. If you've read this far in the story, then I'm amazed and I'm so grateful to you for sticking with it. Any feedback as to what you'd like to see continue or what you don't find very interesting would be really great.
