Y/N's POV

"Um, hey, you look kind of lost, need some help?"

I turn around to see one of the guys who played on my dodgeball team in P.E.

"Oh, hi! Harry, right?" he doesn't seem so bad; plus, it wouldn't hurt to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Psh, like you've ever done that.

Oh, shut it. I do what I want.

"Yeah, that's me," he smiles, seems friendly enough.

"I'm lost, it's nice to me you," I hold out my hand and he shakes it.

"Well, maybe I can help with that," he chuckles, but it doesn't seem like a familiar sound to him. He gives off a much more serious vibe than Peter and Ned.

"That would be wonderful. It's my first day, and I'm still getting used to where things are."

"Don't sweat it, I remember my first day here, I completely drowned. So where are you headed?"

"Well, I need to re-find my locker and grab my stuff."

"No problem, what's your locker number?"

"1186, although I have no clue how to get there," I admit, Harry's already started walking so I awkwardly try to catch up to him.

"Lucky for you, I've had two years to get used to this school, so you're in good hands."

I smile at him and we chat the rest of the way to my locker, only a few other straggling students passing us in the hall.

Once we reach my locker, I grab the stuff I'll need to start my homework and turn to Harry, who's waiting for me patiently. "Thanks for showing me to my locker, I'm a little less lost now."

"I'm glad," he smiles at me, and I realize that I've made friends pretty easily over here. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

"Oh, no, I don't want to bother you any more than I already have. I'm sure you have way more important things to do than be my escort."

"Really, it was no problem at all," he assures me sweetly. He has a tough exterior, but I can tell he's a softy on the inside. "Are you sure I can't help with anything else?"

"I got it from here, thanks. I'll see you around then?"

"Yeah, see you around, Lost Girl," he waves at me as I walk towards the exit to the school.

I exit the school and retrace my steps to the subway that will take me back to my apartment.

On the train, I look up the best grocery stores in the area; it turns out, there's not a Publix or Walmart anywhere near this place. However, there's a convenient store a few blocks from my apartment that should have everything we need. It's called "Delmar's" and apparently it had been burned down just a few weeks ago, but Tony Stark himself funded its restoration and now its back in business.

There's that name again, Tony Stark.

I can't believe Peter didn't tell me that he's met a superhero.

You just met him yesterday, and he doesn't have to tell you anything.

True; I guess we both have our secrets.

Yeah, and you shouldn't know about this, so don't go asking questions.

I'm not that stupid!

Just making sure...

Ugh, sometimes I wish my head didn't talk so much.

I get off the subway and head to Delmar's to pick up something for dinner. And breakfast. And just food in general. Dad got me a debit card 'cuz he and I both knew I'd be the one doing the shopping, and he'd reimburse my account for all necessary purchased items. Everything else was on me.
