Anastasia's P.o.V.-
It is 6:45 a.m when my mom yells at me from downstairs to get ready for school. I groan and throw my covers off of me. I dont have to be at school till 7:55 a.m but since I take so long to get ready my mom wakes me up extra early. Today is my first day of junior year, and I am both excited and nervous. I go into my bathroom and immediently get brushing my teeth and washing my face out of the way so I can have extra time for my hair and makeup. I go to my vanity where I have already layed out my outfit. I slip on my corduroy skirt and graphic tee, then I grab the hair brush and start brushing my knotted brown hair. I dont have to do much with my hair since it is naturally straight, so I start on my makeup. I have always enjoyed messing around with makeup, my favorite type of looks are dark colors since they go well with my honey brown eyes. I slip on my shoes and walk downstairs. It is a 15 minute drive to my school and it is only 7:20 so I have about an extra five minutes. I never eat breakfast so I use my extra time to sit on my phone."Ana, are you ready?" my mom yells from her room. "Yeah I am gonna go sit in the car." I say.
She is the only person in the entire world, minus one other person, who calls me Ana for short and I hate it. My mom works at the school as one of the guidance counselers. Since my school is so big we have more than one guidance counseler, librarian, college adviser, and just staff in general. I get my hair from my mom since hers is also naturally straight and brown. Although I do get my eyes and height from my dad. My dad is around 5'5 and somewhat part irish, but I'm not really sure exactly. I could drive myself to school but my mom insists that we not waste gas when we are both going to the same place. I eternally roll my eyes to that. My mom finally walks out the house and gets into the car.
"Are you excited?" she asks as if I am a preschooler. "Sure." I say.
My mom and I are really close but I try not to tell her every single detail of my life. The carride goes by super fast and my nerves get worse the closer we get to the school. We pull up into to the parking lot and I get out and grab my bag. The good thing about riding with my mom is that I dont have to worry about there being a ton of people at school. I can easily slip in the side door my mom enters through and go completely unnoticed. Then all I have to do is wait in her office until the bell rings. Usually my best friend Maye will wait with me but last year ever since her boyfriend died in a car accident she hasn't been the same. I tried to be there for her but she pushed me away and eventually we just grew apart.
I used to have a boyfriend too, but I just haven't found the right person for me.... but there's more to that than I can even begin with.
The bell rings.
shit.A/N: hello readers! hope you likes the very short first chapter! dont worry they will get longer and hopefully a lot more interesting. i just wanted to inform ya'll that some of the chapters contain a song from Fleetwood Mac, that I think helps provide you with a feel of how the characters feel. you can choose to listen to the music or not, but i find it helps me read and understand the story better. but maybe its just because i love fleetwood mac lol! anyways, happy reading! <3 xx
