Lucas's P.o.V.-
Fuck my life.
Today is the first day of my new school. I think it's pretty shitty for me to have to start the first day of junior year at a new school. I get in my car and drive to school while playing one of my favorite mixtapes of Coldplay. My car is an antique red 1968 Ford Mustang, and lets just say this car is my baby. I bought this car with my savings from working at a gas station since I was 14. My dad is a piece of shit who sits on his ass 24/7 while my mom, well lets just say she has never been around. I arrive at school and get one of the last parking spots available. I lock my car and walk towards the school in a fast pace so I am not late on the first day. The school is HUGE. There all types of people in every crevice of the building. Something in the corner of my eye catches my attention. I see this huge dude standing over this girl who seems to have lost all of her books and supplies from her hands."What the fuck, look where you're going next time." the guys says while pushing past her to get with his friends. She looks pissed and I would be too. I go over to her and try to help her with her books.
"Thanks, but I can handle it." she says laced with attitude.
"No need I can take it for you." I say with a polite smile.
"No trust me I am good." she says one last time with so much attitude it almost takes me by surprise.
What a bitch. She gets up and brushes past me. Her fragrance wafts past me and I take it in. She smells of lavender and honey, a rather sweet combination. I look up at the clock and see I have five minutes to maneuver to my first class. Lets get this over with. My first class drags making it feel like forever before I ever get to second. My stomach is growling and I dont have lunch for another hour and a half so I go over to the vending machine and punch in the letters and numbers for a bag of plain Lays. I finish them off and go to the bathroom to wash the greasy residue off my fingers. As I am washing my hands I notice the few other guys standing around in the bathroom. Most of them have letterman jackets on and are just standing in corners smoking or laughing, and others are just casually trying to get there business done and get the hell out. In the group of guys in the corner I spot the guy who ran into the girl this morning. He has on a letterman and looks very masculine. His name on the back of his jacket reads Henderson. They pass around a blunt and practice doing tricks with the smoke. I finish drying my hands and hurry out to avoid any unwanted trouble. I get in biology and glance around at the seats and notice the girl from this morning. I sit not far from her hoping I might can get a chance to talk to her. She is beautiful, but such a bitch. The teacher calls roll:
"Abigail Johnson" she calls. "Here." a very squeaky voice calls from the back.
"Anastasia Clark" was the next name. "Here but wishing I wasn't" the girl from this morning calls.
The other names fade away as I concentrate on her name. Anastasia. It sounded so fragile yet magestic.
"Lucas Stone .. Lucas Stone." the teacher called twice trying to get someones attention. "Here." I yell back.
The class then starts with the teacher introducing herself as Mrs. Bradshaw. She starts lesson 1 with a very monotone voice, and I already know this was going to be a hard class to stay awake in. The bell rings and I make my way out of the classroom; I forgot to look for Anastasia to ask her is she was okay. With the crowd now worse than ever I knew there was no point in trying to look for her now. I grab my leather jacket from my bag and slip it on. The rest of the day goes by in the blink of an eye. I get in my car and drive away. Ugh. This year was really going to suck.
