Lucas's P.o.V.-
The gas station usually stays pretty busy at this time of night with drug addicts and homeless people trying to take shelter. I see a few people at the gas pumps, but everyone tends to be quick. I see this old looking car pull up fastly, and sure enough its her. Anastasia gets out the car and puts in the pump. She is facing away from me but I know it is her due to her undeninable wave tattoo peeking over the top of her sweatshirt. She takes the pump out and gets her receipt before walking inside. I can tell her face is tear stained as she heads straight for the bathroom. I can hear her sobs from the middle of the store where I am stocking chips on the shelves. I dont want to intrude but I cant just sit here and listen to her gasping for breath from crying so hard. So I go up to the door and knock.
"Hey Anastasia , it's uh Lucas from um Biology class." I say stuttering a bit from not knowing what to say.
I hear her rip a few napkins from the dispenser. She then yanks open the door causing me to almost fall.
"Oh hi there." I say bashfully.
"Hey." she says trying to stay strong.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
And before I know it I am holding her in my arms as she sobs. I hold her for what feels like forever and I honestly dont mind. When she finally
starts to calm down I begin to ask her if she is oka. But she quickly collects herself and stands up before I get the chance to say anything."I am sorry." she says and backpedals out the door. I watch her drive off quickly. What the hell just happened? The guy who has the next shift arrives and I go home exhuasted and confused.
