Ash's Pov.

Darkness. Numbness. That was all I could feel. I had tried opening my eyes for quite some time now but I just couldn't.

"No! No you can't. It's only been two weeks. I was out for two years and no one dare pulled the plug on my life so why his?" That voice sent tingles up my spine. Layla!

"My Luna, you were not banging on Death's door." A male's voice piped up, arguing back.

"I almost died that night. You can't just go and do that. It's his family's choice and they know that he will pull through. HE IS YOUR ALPHA!" Was that her Luna voice? Damn, she sounds scary. I don't want to get on her bad side.

-Timbre? Are you there Buddy?- I thought to my silent wolf.

-Yeah, I'm here. Damn, I love that woman. We really need to wake up.- Timbre ended urgently.

-Yeah, I know. I've been trying but I can't open my eyes. Can you link Layla and Sophie?-

-I don't know but I can try.- That was the last my wolf said before someone came rushing through what I thought was a door.

"Ash? Ash? Can you hear me? Can you squeeze my hand?" Timbre did it. I focused on moving the muscles in my hand to squeeze her own. "Oh, my goddess. Baby, please open your eye. I want to see those blue orbs." At that last sentence, my eyes burst open. Emerald green eyes were the only things I could see. "Ash. Oh, my goddess. I was so worried and scared. The doctor thought that you wouldn't make it then he wanted to turn off the life support..."

"And you went crazy Luna on him." I finished for her. Layla backed up a little bit so I could see her light tanned face with her black hair falling around her heart-shaped face.

"H...how did you know?" The confusion was written all over her face.

"I overheard you and the doctor fighting. Thank you for fighting for me." As Ash finished tears started forming in Layla's green eyes. Suddenly a smile sat on her beautiful lips. I moved my hand slowly and held her chin, slowly pulling her face towards mine. Her eyelids fluttered closed as I placed my lips on hers, sparks flew everywhere. It seems cheesy but it felt like I was on Cloud 9. Our lips moved in sync and boy did it feel amazing. Most Alphas I had met never waited for their mates, flitting around like manwhores, so yes I am still a virgin and proud of it. My lungs cried out for air as I thought my mate's were too. Pulling away, gasping for air the tears in Layla's eyes have finally made there way down her soft cheeks. I brought my hand up and wiped her tears away.

Layla's Pov. That Evening,

"Darling, I am so proud of you. You are going to become Luna. Your grandparents would be so proud of you." My mother gushed. My grandparents died in a rogue attack just after Ruby and I were born so we never got to meet them and Josh was only 2 so he doesn't remember them. She turned down Father's invitation to join him in rogue life and rejected him. It only broke her heart because they had three children together and they had been mated a long time but she found her second chance mate, Sean, not long after.

"Mum it's been two weeks since I came out of my coma. I have even mated with Ash yet, nor have I been marked."

"Ash will mark you at the ceremony. Now go and have a shower and please wash your hair."

"Really Mum? I'm eighteen, I think I can do that without you reminding me." I got up from the Queen bed and headed into my old bathroom. I removed my robe and studied myself in the mirror. I had a jagged looking scar running from left shoulder blade down my back and another from my collarbone, under my right breast and ending at my right hip. I must have gotten these from the party. My breaths started coming in short pants. Was I having a panic attack? Ash won't want me after he sees these. I turned on the shower and hopped in letting the water wash away the remains of the attack.
