Layla's Pov
I felt a tingling sensation whenever I'm around the three sisters. It's like my body is sensing some other power or magic that is pure evil or something. I usually ignore it but today it became so much stronger, so strong that it knocked me off my feet when I was practicing with my magic again. I entered the woods beside the packhouse and spend a few hours playing and practicing with others, training myself to protect my pack and my mate. Damon, the pack trainer, trains me every day for three hours on hand to hand combat before I headed out to the woods. There I spend six hours training my abilities. I read the elemental books every day to learn more about why I am here and what I have to prepare for. It said that there were other elemental wolves with a singular elemental ability out there waiting for me/the Major Elemental Wolf to collect them. I told myself that I would find them when I talk to Ash. I set down the water I held in my hands and packed up my books to leave. I heard a rustle in the bushes and I spun around to face it. A ball of fire sat above my hand waiting for the intruder to show his face. A young girl ran from the bushes to stand behind me.
"What's wrong little one?" I asked the crying girl.
"He is going to kill me." She cried out.
"Who? Who is?"
"My Uncle Terry. I accidentally broke something and ran." She sobbed. The young girl looked around four or five and really scared.
"It's okay, you're safe here with me now. I won't let anyone hurt you." As I finished an older man who looked to be in his forties ran out of the thick growth into the clearing and looking furious.
"Give me her and I will leave you unharmed young lady." He growled out.
-Get here now.- I linked Ash.
"Never. You will hurt her and I will not allow that Sir." I spoke with confidence and ready for anything.
"Do you know who I am?" He asked stunned at my outburst.
"I... Ummm... No." I couldn't remember his face nor did he have power for me to identify.
"I am Alpha Terry of the Dark Moon Pack. Hand her over She Wolf." Did he just imply that I am just a she-wolf?
"I am sorry Alpha but I am Luna of the Blood Moon Pack and you are trespassing on my territory." I stated matter of. I tossed my hair to one side leaving the side with my mark showing in full view.
"I... I... I... I'm sorry Luna." He stuttered when he noticed my mark.
"You will leave now without the girl. Don't come back ever." I growled out. I heard the thundering of paws then silence. I turned my head to see Ash walking out in only board shorts.
"Is everything okay here Alpha Terry, Baby?" His voice was laced with concern.
"Everything is fine Darling." I said lightly. The older Alpha nodded his head rather quickly and left. I held out my hand to the little girl.
"What's your name my dear?" Ash asked in a soothing voice.
"Evangeline Rose, Alpha." Her sweet melodic voice answered back.
"Who looks after you at your pack?" I asked hoping that I wasn't taking her away from her parents.
"No one. I'm with the other kids that don't have a Mummy and a Daddy." Ash's eyes flickered up to mine
"Want to tell me what happened?"
"Well, I was packing up when I heard movement in the bushes. I had my fire and Evangeline came running out crying. Her uncle who is Terry was trying to kill her because she accidentally broke something and then he wanted her back and me being Luna and protective I said no. Then he insulted me and claimed to be the Alpha. I told him who I was and told him he was on our land, so true, warned him to scram just before you came and you know the rest." I took a deep breath.
"Okay. Well, you handled that really well. I'm so proud of you Baby. We will set up a family to take this sweet angel in and I'll get the paperwork done for her arrival in the pack. Is there anything you need to talk to me about?" I was momentarily confused at his sudden question then I remembered about the other wolves.
"Yes but later in the office. Two P.M sharp." I picked up my books I dropped when I saw Evangeline and headed back to the pack with my Mate and the newest member of our pack.
