"I love you." Newt smiled as he twirled my hair in between his fingers.

"I love you, too." I smiled softly.

The door swung open and Minho came in. "Breakfa- woah." He stopped in his tracks, seeing Newt and I laying in each other's arms and he instantly turned around and left.

"Well, everyone knows now." Newt deadpanned.

"It'll be fine." I said. I looked over my boyfriend and noticed a tattoo on his collarbone. "What's that?"

I traced my fingers over the words and Newt looked down. "I don't know, what's it say?"

"Property of WICKED: Group A: Subject A5: The Glue." I read. "Is there one on me?"

"Property of WICKED: Group A: Subject A9: The Gift." He said.

"Well, we should get ready." I threw the covers off of me and went to a dresser beside a window. I pulled out a fresh shirt and a new pair of jeans. I turned around and Newt was still laying there. "Come on."

"Al-"

Newt was cut off because something grabbed me by my neck and my head hit the window. He jumped up and ran to me in all his glory. People outside must've heard the commotion, because after Newt knocked the thing out of the window, Thomas and Winston came running in.

"Oh gosh!" Thomas cringed as Newt, and I froze.

"Geez, that's my sister!" Winston cried.

"Wait, you remember me?" I asked.

"Yea, I had a dream." He casually answered.

"Guys, can you go out now?" Newt shifted his weight back and forth.

"Right, sorry." The two left and Newt put his clothes on and we walked out for breakfast.

I couldn't help, but notice that Teresa has been missing since we got here. I looked around and saw a door with the a tag on it.

Teresa Agnes: Group A: Subject A1: The Betrayer

I waved it off and sat next to Newt at the breakfast table.

"Alright, here's the deal." Rat Man walked in and sat at his desk. "I'm taking a certain someone to give them their memories back. They haven't even been here two days and we've already lost four employees because of their behavior."

He looked me in the eye and continued. "Amelia."

I stood up slowly and walked towards him before Newt yelled, "Don't hurt a single hair on her head!"

The rat man brought me to an operation room. "We're gonna give you your memories back and then you're gonna keep the subjects from the safe haven, details to follow." He hooked me up to some IV's.

"You can't make me." I grumbled, laying back.

"Oh, I can." He sneered and I felt myself drifting off.

I woke up and looked around. "Janson?" I rubbed my eyes and blinked a few times, but the man was still standing at a counter beside.

"Good morning, Amelia, we're sending you to the scorch." He grinned.

"So, we finished the maze trials?"

"You'll remember that later."

"Okay." I got up and went to my old room.

This was were Thomas and I had to bunk together. We were in love, but he broke up with me because he thought I was in love with Newt. The thing is, I hate Newt with a seething passion. Even his name makes my blood boil.

I picked up a picture on the nightstand of Thomas and I when we were 16 about a month before he broke up with me.

We had snuck out for the first time and we got caught a few minutes after it was taken. I smiled and set it down before going to my old bunk. I had a stuffed dog? Bear? I can't tell.

I held it close to me and Ava Paige came in. "I see you remember Thomas." She said flatly.

"Yea." I sighed.

"I'm sure you're in for a great surprise, sweetheart." She smiled. "Now, let's get you to the scorch."

I went into the lab with Ava and I sat on the counter, waiting for her to set up the Flat Trans. When it was set up, I walked through and I was in a raggedy, old house and it was hot.

I looked out the window and saw nothing but sand. In the distance, I noticed a group of people coming, so I got in my position. I heard the door open and people talking.

"You bloody idiot, should've been paying attention."

"Slim it, Newt," I grimaced at the sound of his name. "Your panties have been in a bunch ever since your shuck girlfriend disappeared."

I stood up and walked out of the room. They jumped, but when they realized it was me, they let up.

"Amelia!" Newt cried as he hugged me tight. I stood there shell-shocked and he pulled away with a confused look.

"On your knees." My face hardened, then I saw Thomas. My knees went weak and I felt something tugging at my brain. Before I could run to him and apologize for everything, I felt like I was being controlled. "You aren't getting away that easily."

"Come on, Amelia, it's me." Newt put his hand on my shoulder and I swatted it away without being controlled.

"Shuck off." I sneered. "I want Newt and Thomas to meet me in the back. Come alone."

I turned around and pulled a gun out of my pocket while the two boys followed me. I was alright with killing Newt, but I was being controlled to kill Thomas.

"Amelia, what are you doing?" Thomas asked.

"Sit." I motioned towards two small chairs in the middle of the room. They hesitantly went to the little chairs and sat down. I held my gun up to the side of Thomas's head. "How'd you make it this far?"

"A-amelia." He stared into the barrel of my gun. "You don't have to do this."

Tears stung my eyes. "I wish that were true." I went to pull the trigger, but Newt grabbed the sides of my face and pressed his lips to mine.

It was like everything came together. I remembered coming up in the box. Seeing Newt. The griever attack. Reuniting with Winston. Everything.

"Newt!" I kissed him deeper this time and explained to him how Thomas was right when he broke up with me.

"What happened, love?" I blushed at the nickname.

"WICKED was controlling me."
