"Was that about me?" Luke asked, breaking free from Niall. I couldn't tell if he was happy or not.

I chewed on my lip and nodded. "Yeah, kinda."

"Either it was or wasn't." That's the second I was sure he wasn't happy. He was pissed. "Why did you write a fucking song instead of talking to me?"

I took a step back. "I tried and-"

"No, you kept giving me fucking excuses."

"Luke-"

"You couldn't go out with me because of what your parents did, but you can fuck someone you just met."

I started shaking my head. "No, that's not-"

"Enough," Niall said, pushing Luke away from me and standing between us. "Luke, you don't fucking know what happened to him. You have no say in what he's doing."

"Don't fucking get involved. This is between him and me," Luke growled. I shook my head again, turning around to look at Louis. He wasn't where he was before.

Where was Grindley? Why wasn't he stopping this? I turned my attention to Luke and Niall, who were arguing quietly with one another, until Luke shoved Niall into me. I grabbed Niall's arms to stop him from reacting. If they fought here, they'd be kicked out of the competition.

"Luke, cut your shit," Niall threatened, pulling out of my hold and stepping away.

"Don't fight,' I said quickly. "You'll get kicked out."

Luke glared at me. "We seriously need to fucking talk."

"You just need to leave him the fuck alone," Louis growled. I spun around and saw him walking up to us. "I don't know what the fuck-" I threw myself in his arm and whimpered quietly. "I don't know what's going on, but you-"

"Exactly," Luke snapped. "You have no idea what's going on."

"Stop," I whispered.

No one, not even Louis heard me. I just tightened my grip on Louis, barrying my face into his chest. He said "Whatever it is, drop it until you have your teacher here because obviously you can't control your temper."

After that, Louis tapped my shoulder and whispered we were going to the room backstage. I let go of him and took a half step back before feeling a hand on my shoulder.

Luke pulled me away from Louis before decking him in the face. "Stop!" I Screamed at Yeets ran over, grabbing Luke and barely managing to pull him off. I bent down and reached for Louis.

"What the hell is going on?" Yeets demanded. He held up his hand to stop security from investigating, looking back and forth.

"Luke hit Louis," I said quickly. "He was mad and... where's Grindley? He'd understand better."

"Why am I-" Grindley started to ask, then stopped. He took a look at how we were standing and the fact Luke was flexing the hand he hit Louis with. "Luke, call your parents."

"You don't get-"

"No, I understand it perfectly. Get your parents on the phone now." I think that was the first time I had ever seen Grindley pissed, and I didn't want to see it again, or when he was really pissed.

"This is bullshit," Luke mumbled, which made my blood start to boil.

"What?" I snapped, standing up. "That I'm trying to figure this shit out? You snapped. You fucking hit Louis because you didn't like what he said. And for the fucking record, we haven't slept together. He flirted with me, it didn't send me into panic mode like it had every single time before. So I'm sorry I let myself enjoy it, alright? I get it, I'm not supposed to be fucking happy."

I didn't wait for anyone response before taking off. At first I was walking, but I started running because I didn't want anyone to talk to me, to calm me down.

I got outside and picked a random direction to run in, just wanting as much space between the event and me as possible. I didn't care tears were falling down my face at a rapid pace or that people were giving me weird looks.

I just needed to get away.
