Harith x Reader

Morning sunshine strikes through the window of your tree house, making you to wake up from your slumber. You scratches the back of your cat ear checking if it's still there. You stood up and walk towards the bathroom, brushing your teeth, washing your face, then put on some new fresh set  of clothes. You grabbed your almighty trusted fishing rod and went to the river just a few blocks from your tree house.

As you arrived, you start to stick a small worm you gathered days ago. You tossed it in and wait for it to bait a fish or two.The clouds kept moving as the wind makes it's way. You felt the freshness of the air of the morning as you closed your eyes. After a minute you opened just to see a pair of blue eyes looking directly from above you.

"Boo!"

"AH"

You jumped, making the fishing rod fell into the river. The elf that scared you stepped back while trying to hold his stomach not to explode laughing. He fell to the ground, rolling like crazy. "Haha, funny" you said. "Oh come on (Y/N), that's funny, hilarious!"

You could see his smile, deep down you know this childish cat elf are just full of humor. Infinite perhaps. "So, what're you doing this early?" he asked. You swept away the dust on your clothes and grabbed your fishing rod which fell into the river. "Well, i was grabbing some lunch for the both of us. Too bad you ruined it". You grinned while packing up your stuff. "Seriously?! You can't just leave before catching my food! Fine I'll get some".

Without a moment or two, Harith jumped straight into the river, your eyes widened worried if he can swim or not. Turns out he can, watching he splashes around trying to scare away the fish. You laughed while try not to get wet yourself. He popped his head from the water, revealing one fish on each of his hand, one on his mouth and one strangled on his tail. Surprised, you clapped away. "My my now that is talent" you stated, you pulled away the bucket for him to put his fishes in. "I know right! I know i know don't need to praise me".

You rolled your eyes and started to walk side by side with him, you handed a handkerchief to him. His wet hair kept dropping some water from earlier, he kept telling you of how he catch those fish. You're not listening though, more like admiring the cute and fragile cat elf beside you. Well, you wonder why this, feline can get over a break up that fast. You were surprised after all, the news when it came to your house that Harith just broke up with Nana. You remembered the last days he came up to your front door sobbing with his eyes are completely red. And now you see the same person cheerfully carrying a bucket of fishes to your house. Amusing.

"(Y/N)? Were you listening?" he snapped you out of your thoughts, you quickly made eye contact and spontaneously said "H-huh? Yeah of cours-" "No you're not, are you okay? Is something wrong?" he asked. You stopped and stared right back at him. Smiling, "Im fine Harith, im just lucky to have you as my friend" he smirked widely. He continue his story with you following him from behind. When you arrived with him at your house, he quickly opened the door for you and started cleaning the fish. You prepared the seasoning while Harith boil the fishes.

Suddenly a knock on the door was heard, you noticed and approached it. You opened it while shockingly stare at the cat elf, it's Nana. "Hey (Y/N), do you know where Ha-" her words were cut off when Harith approached. His eyes were widened while quickly shut the door in front of him. "H-HARITH, THAT'S NOT POLIT-" "Go away Nana, we're over, as you said" his face are down while holding the door shut. "Please Harith, i need to explai-" "No need, goodbye".

He locked the door and walked away to continue his cooking. "Im so sorry Nana, maybe he's just not in the mood" you tried to calm both side while trying to stay neutral. "It's ok (Y/N), see you later" you could hear the footsteps fading away. You approached Harith, puting your hand on his shoulder. "Hey, talk to me" Harith didn't look at you, kept cooking. You sighed and sit beside him, waiting for him to finish.

After done, you ate with him, awkwardly, no conversation whatsoever. "She accused me cheating, with you" he finally opened his mouth to talk. You were shocked and almost chocked on the spot, luckily you quickly sipped some water. "Oh, wow i didn't expect that" "Neither did i".

"Maybe she's here for that explanation Harith, you should've gave her a second chance to tell you the explanation" you answered. "Why would i, a relationship like that is toxic. Rather to leave it or lose your friend" he ate the last bite and stare at you while smiling, warm. The smile on his face this time is very, very warm. It's different from the smirk he used to have. "After all, you're irreplaceable in my life, (Y/N)".

That sentence, gave your heart some extra beat. And it's going fast. Your face heated up just to hear that, 'oh shit, better not have feelings' you thought.

Heyy kiddoss im back, and yes it's been like what? A year? Lol im sorry this book was like drowned by the other stories, and online classes, ugh. Hate it. Anyway, i hope you enjoyed!
