The echoing sound of sword slashing twitched your ears, it was rather a fine morning to train. All the guards inside the castle were on their boots to train too. There were a couple of works to do for me, so i skipped training for evening.

Necrokeep, a peaceful yet beautiful kingdom there is to mankind. The last war had sent the ground disgusted, eventhough there were so much bloodshed through out it, they managed to put it in the past and recover the kingdom.

My name is (Y/N), i am the kingdom's strategist. Currently sitting in my usual spot at the very corner of the castle. Second level that is. I shared the very room with my other strategists fellow, who are currently screaming and waving towards the knights from the balcony who were training at the castle's training hall.

There was only one name kept being repeated through my ears, and that is Leomord. Seemed to me that he was pretty popular amongst the ladies here. However, i must admit to where his charm lies nowhere in my interest.

A man who can only slashes sword and stood mighty in front of all? Might be interesting in some female, but my time was too worth it to be even spared to watch them. Knights are protectors, not some lads just wanted to show off their abilities. Leomord should know that.

"Go Leomord!" there goes again. I rolled my eyes, it rung over my head. "Look out! Watch it!" i released a loud sigh.

Then all of them cheered, i rested my forehead on my two hands. I couldn't complain of course, i would be too rude. Well clearly they can't hear my voice inside of my head, but they could still see the expression i had.

"Oof, guys calm it down. (Y/N) is studying" the one with the blonde short hair, Lara, interrupted the crowd on the balcony. They all shut their mouth and put a hand on their lips, a sign of guilt i presume. "Gee thanks Lara for being on my side after simping over Leomord" i rolled my eyes.

She smacked my head and chuckled, "Hey! It hurts!" i exclaimed. She just shooked her head and left the room. I was wondering what was that about. Then i continued my work.

It was very intriguing. I've learned the chapter for next week, which possibly made my time for the next days are free of my choosing on how i shall spend it. But that was the problem.

I had no idea what to do.

I only know how to spent my time and mind on studying. Nothing else mattered to me at least. Maybe that's why i have no friends, by the way i acknowledge. I am pretty close to Queen Vexana. She told me a million times that i should keep a friendly face and phase.

I mean what's wrong with my expression? Am i really that intimidating? That's bloody ridiculous. I'm not the head of the knight or something like that. I'm quite harmless actually. Too harmless as a matter of fact.

I had not realized that the room was empty, it's just me. Of course all alone as usual. The training hall seemed quiet too, assumed that the knights are done training. I stood up and stretched my two arms upwards and walked to the balcony. Standing with my eyes scattered downwards.

As expected, there was nobody there. But a glimpse of a shiny metal caught my eyes, it was there laying on the ground. I raised a brow.

A figure approached the sword, he looked like he has long, and very dark black hair. He kneeled down and reached for it. He twitched his eyes and realized I've been staring the whole time. Which i did in accident.
