"That's enough, (Y/N)" Grandmaster Abame exclaimed as my katana swung up, i caught my breath before bowing down. Sweats ran down my forehead. He sighed and handed me my towel. "(Y/N), you have the time the world offers. Do not rush. Perfection takes time"

I was panting for air, slowly rushed the piece of cloth through my neck. "Yes, Grandmaster" i gestured my hands to pay respect, he stepped towards me and gently pats my head "Don't let envy and ambition consumes you.." he murmured.

Then he left me alone as i stared blankly towards my front, still craving for the very little amount of oxygen i had inside my lungs.

I sat on the floor, gazed my eyes to the ceiling. Reached for the bottle of water near me and gulped it empty. I swept the remaining drops from my lips with my arm.

Decades i've lived, but i gained nothing. The trainings i've had, was all for naught. I'm not evolving to the better. Yet i have stayed to the same from years ago. My skill are none other than a blunt kitchen knife.

I groaned in annoyance, flipping my body over and rested on my back on the cold wooden floor. I could hear the slashing katanas from the outside, the sound echoed through my ears. I rolled my eyes as i ignored it.

"Stupid Shadow faction..." i mumbled.

From a long time, the two faction had been a rival. Of course, as a ninja from Crimson faction we solemnly hated the Shadow faction. They were always foretold, have the greatest warrior to defend the House of Akakage. While having Crimson faction as their inside mechanism.

The Shadow faction always stood almighty in the battlefield, while Crimson handled the non-combat things. How unfortunate to be all mocked every goddamn time we crossed paths. Those wretched arrogant faction know nothing but fight.

In reality, they don't know shit about inside-clan assignments.

Grandmaster Abame has neglected me for forcing him to train me in combat, it has been years being his disciple. And let me tell you, it was not easy. At all. It was like a fish asking to be taught how to walk in land.

Yes, out specialty in the Crimson faction was only and strategies, theoretical needs of education. Combat? Not very our nature foretold us. In fact, an asshole once told us we are only useful inside the House of Akakage. Outside, just a warrior's burden who only knew how to heal and blast magic.

Disgusting statement came from a weakling Shadow faction.

Tomorrow, the Shadow faction has chosen a head for their faction. To lead them into another greatness. Of course, we all knew the strongest from our clan. Hanzo.

Despite his cold attitude and indifferent nature, he managed to draw the Grandmasters' attention. Proved his skill and power. For that, i became very resentful.

I slowly stood up with the support of my arms, and made my way out the hall and sneak my way out. Gripping my katana tight and lurked into the shadow. But my oh my, my day was ruined enough to bump into an ass of a Shadow faction member.

I heard a bump when i grunted, i stepped back to look at the eyes spotted me, she raised a brow with a slight devilish smirk painted across her face. "Sorry" i murmured, but my steps were stopped when her hand reached for my hair "Hey guys! Look what i've found!".

I tried to struggle away from her held, but as i reached for my hand she slammed it away "Be still weakling" she demanded. "Let me go!" i yelped, then from the corner appeared 4 more figures. 3 male and 1 more female.

One of them snatched my katana away and admired it "Well well well, if it isn't (Y/N). The stubborn piece of shit from the Crimson faction"

I glared at him and knocked off the hand that tangled my hair, i reached up for my katana "Give it back!" i exclaimed. The figures pushed me off, one by one. Knocking me down when i hoped to be standing on my two feet.
