As soon as we stepped into Barnes and Noble the smell of coffee and new books hit me, making a smile form on my face. They had just opened a Starbucks in the bookstore, making it ten times better.

"Ah, I'm in heaven!" I squealed excitedly, getting ready to take off and see what new books were in stock.

"Yeah, geek heaven..." Rain snorted.

I turned around to glare at her, "You read too!" I shot back, crossing my arms.

"Yeah? I wouldn't spend my free time here, though..." She responded.

I let out a huff as I walked over to the staircase to go to the second floor of books. "Just shut up and let me have some peace, follow me if you're going to be quiet or go with Rain to get coffee."

As it turns out, I got my peace and quiet. Hidan and Deidara were too curious about iced coffee to resist.

As I examined the books closely, a voice spoke from behind me. "Boo." The voice chuckled.

I jumped and spun around to face Ryan from the Vans store. "Oh, uh, hey Ryan..." I said with a small smile.

He grinned at me before looking down the isle of books. "Where's Rain? I wanted to make sure she had my number."

"Oh, she's down stairs at the Starbucks... Do you want me to text her to come up here?" I asked, getting ready to whip out my phone from my pocket.

I glanced down over the edge of the top floor to see all three of them sitting at a small table. Hidan was red in the face, screaming at Deidara who had a sheepish look on his own face. Rain was trying to hold in her laughter but it wasn't working very well. When she handed Hidan a napkin, I noticed the large, brown blotch on his shirt. I smirked, realizing that someone must have spilled coffee on him.

"No, it's fine, I'll go down there in a few." Ryan spoke up, interrupting my thoughts.

I nodded and turned around to look back at the books. "So, how come you aren't at work?" I asked curiously, trying to reach for a book on the top shelf.

"Lunch break." He responded, reaching up to grab the book for me.

I gave him a shy smile then started to examine the book. "Thanks..."

He nodded in response. "No problem... So who do you have? Deidara or Hidan?"

"Hidan..." I deadpanned.

He laughed. "It doesn't sound like you like him..."

"I wouldn't say that... He's frustrating to say the least, though." I muttered.

He chuckled and stood next to me, examining the books. After a few moments of silence, Ryan let out a deep breath. "Hey, um, what are you doing next Friday?"

I stopped looking at the book and stared up at him, "Nothing, probably end up hanging with Rain..." I snorted with an eye roll. "Why?"

A sheepish smile formed on his face. "Well, I was just wondering if you wanted to catch a movie with me."

My cheeks darkened in embarrassment, I had never been asked out before.

"Oh, um-" I cut myself off, frowning down at Hidan, he clearly looked frustrated.

"Well?" He asked, sounding a bit hopeful.

I looked back up at him with a wide smile, "Sounds fun! What time?

He let out a breath and a smile formed on his face. "Is seven good?"

"Sounds great!" I smiled, "Here, why don't I give you my number?"
