"....I need more training." I said when the door slammed shut. I looked over at Deidara and he shrugged, motioning for me to follow him.
We did just that. Training for hours until finally my dad called to say he was coming home from dialysis. I was in the middle of fighting against Deidara when the phone rang so, when the phone distracted me, Deidara landed a heavy punch on my arm.
I yelped, my hand going to cover it as Deidara jumped away from me in surprise.
His expression turned apologetic. "I'm sorry, un."
"Nah, I got distracted." I mumbled, going over to the porch to grab my phone off the railing.
"Hello?" I questioned, still rubbing at me upper arm. It was no doubt gonna bruise.
"Hey Rain. I'm going to go over to-"
"Her house, right?" I muttered. He grunted, no doubt nodding on his side. "Yeah. I'll be home around noon."
"This is child abandonment." I observed.
"You're still living in a house. And you got food." He pointed out. My eye twitched and I sighed.
"Whatever, bye."
"Bye. Love you."
"Love you too." I mumbled, hanging up. I stared at the phone for a moment, gripping it tightly.
"Fuck...." I sighed. Deidara had come over to stand beside me while I was talking, a fresh sheen of sweat on the visible parts of his body.
"He coming, yeah?"
I shook my head, placing my phone on the railing again and grabbing the water bottle that also sat there. I took a quick drink before handing it to Deidara. He happily took a long sip before putting the cap on as I handed it to him.
After he put it back on the rail we went back to training, the sun setting and the moon rising without us noticing.
Eventually I fell onto the soft grass underneath me, Deidara falling beside me. We were both breathing heavily and I raised an arm up, flexing. I actually had muscles now!
I smirked, looking over at Deidara who was smirking as well. "You're a great sensei, yeah."
"Thanks, un." He said, giving me a close-eyed smile while blushing slightly.
"What time is it?" I wondered. He shrugged making a handsign. A clone appeared standing before walking over to where my phone was.
"1:22 AM." It stated before disappearing. I shifted my gaze from where the clone had been to Deidara, my eye twitching.
"That was an example of pure laziness."
"We've been training for hours, yeah. It was justified." I snorted, shaking my head before rolling over onto my stomach with a groan. This of course brought me closer to Deidara, my side pressing against his arm as I pulled my arms up and crossed them, using them as a chin rest.
"The grass feels good." I mumbled, feeling happy as the cool grass pressed against my bare stomach.
"I bet I feel better, un." Deidara said, wagging his eyebrows as he turned his head to smirk at me.
"Maybe." I murmured, smirking back tiredly. He chuckled, shifting suddenly. My eye twitched when he rested his head on the middle of my back, his hair tickling it slightly.
"What are you doing?" I growled.
"You're my new pillow, un." Was his only answer, a playful smirk forming on his lips while he closed his eyes.
