Scarrlet's P.O.V

I got into my outfit, and, I wasn't going to wear any armor or super fancy dress. I found a nice middle spot and I still look good. Thank Irene that this isn't a formal meeting otherwise I would wear my uniform.

I put the finishing touches on my outfit and went outside my room. I closed the door and made my way to Zane's office where the meetings are held. On my way, I met up with Ivy and Katelyn.

"So, Scar, I heard you made another flashy exit to finish off a mission," Katelyn tells me.

"Well you know me, I love to get stabbed on my way out of villages to evoke the feels in other people, especially if one of those people is my idiot older brother," I tell her.

"And have you picked a maid of honor yet?" Ivy asks.

"Nope, but I have an idea. I was thinking of asking Lady Nicole because she has asked me to be hers and I thought it was only fair, plus she can kick ass," I tell them.

"She's who I would have chosen as well, although I am hurt," I hear from behind us. The three of us turn around and see Lillian there.

I smirk and tell her, "Why would you be hurt? You wouldn't make a good maid of honor. But, you are all my bridesmaids," I tell them.

We all laugh and continue to Zane's office. Once we make it we go in and sit down in the circle. The boys cease their conversation once we enter.

Zane stands up and says," Welcome. I just need to assign some jobs to you to keep you busy until Garroth's wedding. Jeffery, head to Pikero and check up on things. Ivan, I want you to go to New Burrow and help out the Lord. Joshua, protect my family. Lillian, go mess with some people's heads to make them come to our side. Ivy, go to Tula and get information. Janus, patrol the streets. I don't want any funny business going on. Katelyn, you will accompany Scarrlet and me to Pheonix Drop. I owe someone a favor and Scarrlet needs to invite her brother to the wedding, plus she made another dramatic exit and people are probably dying to see her."

Everyone nods and heads on their way. The only people left are me, Zane, Katelyn, and Janus. Janus steps forward and asks, "Sir, what is the real reason for me patroling the streets? I usually get more action than that."

"It is because last night, Scarrlet saw her dead brother in the street. I want to make sure nothing happens and there are no threats." Zane replies. Janus nods and leaves. Zane then turns to us and says. "We leave in an hour. Be ready on my ship. Katelyn, go and tell Garroth when we leave. I want him to go and tell his village who he is." We both nod and go to pack and do any last-minute things.

I walk back to my room and grab my suitcase. I get some dresses, my armor, a formal dress, and training outfits. I also packed anything else a girl needs like hairbrushes and other necessities. I also went over to my desk where I had my paper. I started to draw out things I have done, crimes I have committed, people I have killed.

I looked over at the clock and realized I needed to head to the docks. I grabbed my stuff and a bag of potions and headed to the docks. The walk there was uneventful. I saw Janus on my way and gave him a quick wave. He may be twisted, but so am I and the rest of the Jury. 

I arrive at the docks and board the ship. I bring my bags to a room that I have kind of claimed as my own. I then go up to Zane's office and enter. I see Katelyn and Garroth there as well. I go next to Zane and sit on the desk. 

"Alright here's the plan, I have to perform the wedding of Donna and Logan. I owe Donna's mother a favor so this is the most I could do. Katelyn, you will be there acting as Scarrlet's "guard" I need her to still act injured and be as innocent as possible. Sirs Kole and John will still be there if you need to be dramatic. Garroth, I have someone stationed in Brightport who can take you back to Pheonix drop after you get teleported to him," Zane tells us.

We nod and head in our separate directions. I have to teleport Garroth to Brightport, so I go with him to my room. "Act as you normally would. We don't want to raise any suspicions," I remind him. He nods so I teleport him to Brightport. It drains my power so I have to recharge or sleep.

I wake up to knocking on my door. I get up and answer it. I see Katelyn and let her in. She tells me, "Just wanted to inform you that we are almost there. I would change into something else since you have been wearing that for a while." And she leaves.

Wow. I must have slept through the whole trip. I decide to wear something cute yet still me.

I grab my brush and quickly go through my hair. I then go out and see that Aphmau, Garroth, and Laurance are waiting for us to descend onto the docks. Zane offers me his arm, an together we go down with Katelyn. Aphmau smiles at me. I give her my best fake smile back. 

She then turns to Zane and says, "Hello! I am Aphmau, Lord of Phoenix Drop. This is my head guard, Garroth. And his second in command, Laurence. What are your names?"

"I am Zane, High Preist of Okasis. You already know Lady Scarrlet. And this is Katelyn the Fire Fist, member of the Jury of Nine," Zane replies.

"May I ask, why are you here?" Aphmau asks.

"I am presiding over Donna and Logan's wedding. A special request from Donna's mother, Urla," Zane tells her.

"Okay, well I will leave you in the hands of Laurence. If you need anything, let him know. I am actually planning the wedding, so come to me for information or ask Laurence," Aphmau says. Her and Garroth walk away.

"Would you like a tour of the town? I know there are also some people here who are worried about Lady Scarrelt, despite what Sir Garroth had reported," Laurence asks.

"Yes, that would do nicely. I also need to speak with Urla and the soon to be married couple," Zane says. Laurence nods and leads us up the stone steps, going into the history of town and improtant buildings. We make it to the town center and see a certain blue haired guard talking with Urla, Donna, and Logan.

Laurence turns to us and says, "Urla is over there with the soon to be married couple."

"Thank you very much Sir Laurence," Zane says. Zane and I walk over to the group of people while Katelyn and Laurence hang back to talk about security and all that jazz.

Urla looks up at us and smiles before saying, "High Priest Ro'meave, Lady Scarrlet. So good to see you both again."

"Lady Urla, I am glad to be here," Zane says, taking her hand and kissing the top of it. I give a small smile and curty as a hello. He then turns to Donna and Logan and says, "And this may be the happy couple. Sir Logan and Lady Donna." Zane kissed Donna's hand before shaking Logan's hand. I smiled and curtsied at the two of them.

"I'm so glad you have arrived, the wedding is in two days and I started to thi.k you wouldn't make it," Urla said.

"Of course I would make it. After all, it is my pleasure to perform the ceremony," Zane says. Urla, Donna, and Logan depart, leaving just Zane, Dante, and I.

Wow, we got to see the whole jury, plus we got to see Zane being all nice qnd doing his job, next up... a bunch of weddings... well not at the same time at least. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this part of Assassin! See you in the next chapter, My Protectors.
