"WELCOME TO THE DANCE STAGE; THE ONE AND ONLY, YOURS TRULY, THE BADDEST WOMAN, ISABELLA KHAIR ANWAR"
The words ringed in Lorenzos ear who was currently settling himself on the uncomfortable couch. He had lashed out on the boys for hurting her and made them apologize. He told himself that he did it because only he could inflict her pain. However, everyone else knew his reasons. Lorenzo expected their apology to her, but what he didn't expect was this.
He couldn't believe his own ears. Would she really become a dancer whose whole purpose is to seduce men? He didn't like the thought one bit. He had gotten rid of Adam with a lot of work and now it was going out of hands. What was he supposed to do? Kill every man that looks her way? He would do that too, but then what would his excuse be?
He paced around the room and occasionally thanked the lord proudly when he heard Scar advice Bella to find another job. However, she refused each time. Resulting in him facepalming himself. He had to come in terms with what he was feeling. Marco had been right, it wasn't late. He still loved Bella; he had never stopped. All this jealousy and anger was solely based out of the hurt he had experienced when she left. Even though he didn't like to admit it, he was better with her by his side. When she left, he went on a killing spree in London and before he met her, he was merciless. Even though he liked to think that the business grew without her, he knew that it wasn't a positive accomplishment. That only meant that he successfully killed and manipulated more people.
Just in que, Bella opened the door and tucked herself in bed. He wanted to ask her about where she had been so late at night but figured that she would like her space. Isn't that what girls like? Boys who let them to their thing?
The whole night was spent on Lorenzo thinking about what to do next. Just the mere thought of being with Bella again, made him smile a little. They would officially go on a second date. And this time, he wouldn't hide his busted face from her, and she wouldn't hide his weapons in the bushes for the fear of him getting fighting someone. They would go to a proper dinner and he would just kiss the back of her hand like a gentleman. He wouldn't even fuck her, in fear of her mistaking herself for just another one of his whores. Instead he would drop her home.
On the other sides of the positive thoughts, he was nervous. What if she didn't love him? What if she didn't want to work things out? Did she still fancy Adam? Did she forgive him for murdering her parents? What would Khalid say?
His thoughts were set to rest as light started to appear through the curtains. He stood up from the couch and carefully went outside the bedroom. The sight of Bella didn't escape his eyes and for a minute, he stood still and wondered if he should set his heart on the line again. He concluded with this; he would take it slowly. With that in mind, he found himself in front of Khalids room again. after seeing the man nearly naked yesterday, this wasn't the ideal situation for Lorenzo.
He knocked several times before Khalid appeared in the doorway, confused as he saw none other than Moretti in front of him. Khalid looked back at Jasmine who was sleeping peacefully and stepped outside and closed the door tightly. Both men walked to the kitchen without a word and Khalid started making two cups of tea. They couldn't wrap theirs head around the fact that they were ready to kill each other five years ago and now they were here; In Khalids kitchen in Tabriz where they were going to drink tea as if they were long lost friends.
"How is Jasmine?" Lorenzo asked after some time with silence. he sat on the stool beside the counter where Khalid was making tea.
"She is fine. Why?" Khalid asked, furrowing his brows at the question. To his knowledge, everything had been normal with his lady.
"No, no reason" Lorenzo answered, looking at the tiara tattoo on Khalids back as he turned around. "You didn't strike me for the tattoo guy. Especially one with the tiara" Lorenzo smirked at his own statement, to which Khalid chuckled lowly.
"Yeah? I have a tramp stamp too. Wanna see?" Khalid joked back, to which Lorenzo snickered. "Nah, but the tattoo was for my princess, Isabella. I have called her princess ever since I can remember. When I was younger, I would fight any other boy who called her that nickname. No other name was worth tattooing on my body" Khalid elaborated while adding sugar in the tea pot.
Lorenzo watched him intently and was a bit shocked at how careful he was being with the tea. When the words registered in his brain, he furrowed his brows; "Not even Jasmine?"
Khalid looked up and punched his arm lightly; "Do you want me to break up with her?" he asked Lorenzo who looked dumbfounded. "I swear to god, every couple who gets tattoos of each other, breaks up" he said seriously while handing him the teacup.
Lorenzo raised his eyebrows at that and smiled sheepishly before taking a sip of the tea he was handed. Khalid noticed his expression and didn't let this perfect moment for teasing him pass in front of him; "Is there something you want to tell us Moretti?"
Lorenzo flicked him of before hanging his head down to laugh. He had to admit that Khalid was a funny guy. Not just that, but he was kind. If Lorenzo was in his place, he would never let his parents murderer sleep under his roof. He would especially never have tea with him. Heck, he was out to murder Lee right now for killing his parents.
"Everything I will say is that I can definitely put your myth to shame" Lorenzo muttered, hearing Khalid laugh too.
When they had both calmed down, Khalid breathed out before going back to his serious persona; "What did you want to say Moretti?"
The question made Lorenzo come back to his senses and he nodded his head, preparing himself for what he was about to say. "About Bella" he started as he looked at Khalid straight into his eyes. "As you know already, I care for her deeply and therefor I wanted your help with something"
Khalid nodded his way, urging Lorenzo to continue; "She wants to work and has already found herself a job. It is a matter of time before she tells you and you will probably tell her off. However, I can't see that happen. Bella is an intelligent woman who can make her own decisions and she should be able to do whatever she wants. Restricted her will only drive her away from you. If your concern is her safety, then I am sure she will be fine. As you said to me, Tabriz is your place. If you believe in your people, you would let her work" Lorenzo concluded.
Khalid stared at him for a while, registering the words. Even though Lorenzo wasn't aware of it, Khalid saw the care and love in his eyes as he talked about Bella. That was the only reason to why he nodded his head at that. "My princess has always been a strong woman. Of course, she will do as she pleases. Don't mistake my morals as low Moretti. I would do anything for my sisters' happiness. There is a reason to why I traveled to England to meet Scar to begin with. If it wasn't for her, I would never have helped you"
Lorenzos heart quickened its beat while he heard the last sentence. Of course, she would be the one to convince her brother to help them. Even though he was the murderer of her parents. She was still the caring girl he fell in love with.
"But we have a problem" Lorenzo whispered as he glanced at the bedroom door where Bella was sleeping.
"What?" Khalid whispered back.
"Bellas friend Esta introduced her to work as a dancer and we both know that it isn't happening. I want help with finding her another job. You know the town best so let's start searching" he said as he saw a smile gracing Khalids face.
"On it Moretti"
