Chapter 8

Elizabeth's POV

My mom told me I could start to search for Josh, but I had to take someone with me.

I call up my best friend, Ashley. She's always there for me no matter what. I know I haven't talked about her that much but she's just the best. I've known her longer than I've known Josh. We used to live by each other. We met when we were three. My mom told me I hit her and she kicked me and then we hugged and became best friends. Its weird how that happens.

I really miss her. I hope she's not busy.

~Dials Number~

*Ringing*

"Hello" she answers.

"Yeah, what are you doing today?" I ask.

"Mm, nothing, why what did you have in mind?" She asks.

I was wondering if you would help me find Josh. I really need him." I beg.

"Yes, of course." She says. "I'll be over in 10."

"Thanks Ash. I really appreciate this. Love you." I say.

"Love you too." She says.

*hangs up*

I'm so happy she's doing this for me. She really is the best.

When she gets here we grab some snacks and head out the door. The first place we go look is where I last saw him. And of course. He wasn't there.

We then checked his house, he wasn't there either. Where is he? I need him to be alive.

We start knocking on peoples door. None of them have seen or heard from Josh.

I call his parents and tell him he's missing. The call the police. The police wants me at the station because I was the last person to see him before he went missing.

Police officer (italic) Me (bold)

"Where did you say the last place you saw him was?"

"Well we were on a date and he said he forgot something and was gonna go back and get it. He was gone for like 30 minutes. I went to look and see what was taking so long. When I got there, he was no where near the truck. I grabbed his flashlight and started searching for him. I then, tripped over a stick and fell right on top of him. When I hit the ground my left side of my body starting hurting like a sharp pain. When I looked I thought I saw bugs, but the doctor said I was stabbed multiple times."

"Uh-huh, and then?"

"I blocked out. All I remember now is waking up in the hospital."

" Okay you're free to go."

"Thanks officer. And please find him."

"We'll try our best."

As I was leaving someone stopped me and told me they knew where my friend was.

But they said the only way I would find him was if I....
