So, yesterday, one of my 'besties' (I'm not so sure now that he's still consider as bestie or not) contacted me and said his mind about the photo that we did couple weeks ago which I published yesterday to my online portfolio. It kinda a misunderstanding, I guess, but looking back at it again, I guess it's not a misunderstanding, but our mindset and vision are just ripped out to different direction. Am I such an idealist, though? I asked myself yesterday and until today still.
Long story short, I asked his consent for photographing him shirtless which he was fine with that and gave his consent to me by taking off his shirt. Everything was fine, he copied the photos and I showed him mine that I've curated. Then, yesterday came. I posted the photo to my online portfolio and he contacted me several hours later saying he wasn't comfortable with the photo exposing the body part he was insecure about, which make total sense to me. Body image is still a huge problem for some people. Thing that I don't understand is I have asked for his consent and yet he still saying he disagreed with me posting the photo that exposing his body too much, too revealing. In simple words, WHY YOU SAYING YES AND TOOK OFF YOUR SHIRT THEN ASK ME TO TAKE DOWN THE PHOTO? I mean, COME ON!
We have agreement. If he felt uncomfortable with the photo because it was revealing too much of his body, then why he refused and explained why he didn't want to be shot shirtless or why he hasn't cut me when I showed him the photos otherwise with when he copied the photos, though. He saw the same fucking photo twice. I was mad and decided to took down the photo, I'm not wasting energy for useless drama. Apparently, we actually have next photo session which I'd like to cancel and peace out. That was our last photo session ever, no more next.
