So basically this pre- bryclreem incident and post- brylcreem incident

Toms POV

I rang the doorbell of Nonnatus House, feeling more nervous than normal. I couldn't help fix my hair, only the brylcreem did it for me. I saw the door open and there she was. Barbara's smile was right next to mine

"Everyone's on their evening rounds, apart from me I'm on call." She said

"Good." I smirked as I kissed her

She stopped for a second

"Have you bought shares in brylcreem?"

"Funeral, people always expect a certain level of grooming."

I took her hand and led her into the kitchen.

"So it's just us." She said "I don't know what to have planned."

"What records do you have."

"You can trust Trixie on the latest records"

She played an interesting song. I grabbed her hand and we slow danced to the song. It sounded very sexual. The first words were "Teach Me Tiger How To Kiss you" I didn't mind I don't think she did either. She then brought me over to the wall, I didn't know what was going to happen. I had a lot of Brylcreem in my hair and Barbara was just touching my hair and her lips touched mine passionately. My arms touched her waist and I reached over to the bottom. But then she stopped me.  She had this concerned look on her. I started smiling almost laughing at the look she was making.

"Oops." I murmured

I started to kiss her again and repeated my actions.

"Tom," She said, "People will be home soon."

"True." I fixed my hair and rolled up my sleeve until I heard Barbara say my name again.

"What?" I replied

"The walls covered in brylcreem, from your head."

"No!"

Days went by and no one knew who put the brylcreem on the wall. Everyone seemed invested but I kept my mouth shut. Barbara kept looking at me, and wondered why I didn't say anything. But Phyllis already knew. I could just tell.

"Looking for Nurse Gilbert, Mr. Hereward?" She asked

"Yes." I nodded, "I am. Indeed."

"Don't get any brylcreem on the wall." She responded
