×Cassie's POV×

Rian opened the door, locked it behind him, and just stared at me. He looked me up and down, then made eye contact. I felt disgusting. This piece of shit thinks he can just do whatever he can with me.

"Please, forgive me, Cassie. Take me back. I need you," he spoke. But I couldn't speak. Not when words like that, from a person like that, were uttered.

I didn't know what to do. The door was blocked by him, and no one else was too close. Would they make it in time if I screamed? If I yelled at the top of my lungs? Probably not. He would be quick, harming me. Maybe he would even kill me and cut up my body, flushing the pieces down the toilet.

"Cassie, baby, please. I didn't want to hurt you. Jace offered me $300, and I had to help my dad pay some of his bills that month. I just had to, Cass! I swear," he pleaded, practically begging.

"You piece of shit," I kneed him in the gut. He dropped down in pain.

"You'll pay for that, you little shit," he whispered as he got up, laying his hands on my shoulders and slamming my head down into his knee. Blood dripped down my nose, some getting on his arm. He continued to punch me and punch me. On the chest. On the stomach. On the arms.

Pain radiated throughout my entire upper body. But I had to fight back. He might kill me if I don't. Tears clouded my vision as I started to get light-headed. The pain never seemed to end. Then it did.

×Mike's POV×

I got to the bathroom and banged on the door several times, shouting Cassie's name. The door opened and I couldn't believe what I saw. Cassie had blood smeared all over her face, still dripping from her nose. Her tears blended into the thick, red liquid. Bruises seemed to be forming all over her arms.

I scrambled to grab her, holding her. "Hey, Cassie. Everything's going to be all right," I repeated over and over. She nodded once. I ran the water, helping her lean down to the sink. I splashed her face with the warm water, watching as the water turned red. She continued to cry even harder, and my heart broke with every tear she shed.

"Is he gone?" She managed to mumble out, water and blood dribbling around her mouth as she leaned up and away from the sink.

"I hope not," I said as I grabbed my phone and dialed 911.

-

Roughly ten minutes later, the police arrived. Cassie told them the horrific story. The talked to me, Cayson, Alex, Mya, and Ana, then left. Rian was nowhere to be seen. He ran off, afraid.

We all sat down on the couch and I stared at the wall. Cassie was leaning against me, shaking. Cayson was on her other side, rubbing his hand along her leg in a comforting motion. Ana was picking at her nails. Mya and Alex were staring at each other, communicating by making weird faces.

"Nothing was your fault, Cass," Cayson whispered. "You should go to bed. Come with me."

"No," I sternly spoke. "She's coming with me."

Cayson glared at me, challenging. "Fine."

-

Ana guided me and Cassie to one of their guest bedrooms and the proceeded to head to bed herself.

Cassie was so shaken up. She refused to be taken to the hospital, even though I think she should have gone. She stopped shaking, and sat on the bed. I sat down next to her and simply hugged her. She started to cry. I started to cry.

"I'm so sorry, baby. This never should have happened. I should have prevented it. I knew something was up, I-" I started to ramble, but Cassie interrupted.

"It's not your fault."

"I'm so sorry, baby."

We both laid down, and fell asleep.
