I stared down at the rushing waters below me, clutching the book in my hands. The book that once belonged to Cassie Hollis. There was even a note from Mike sticking out on the page titled, '1/17/12 Dear Diary,'.
It was a white and pink book with the words, 'WORST DAY EVER,' and, 'Property of Cassie Hollis.' I didn't really want to intrude her personal life by reading her book, but it's the only way the police will understand why there are two dead bodies near the water.
One was on the rocks.
One was by the shore.
I dialed 911, and an operator answered, "911, what's your emergency?"
"I just found two dead bodies near Pawket Cliff," I was really panicked, still clutching Cassie's diary. I put it inside my coat so they wouldn't get to it.
They can't get to it.
"Alright, stay on the line. We've sent someone over to investigate. What time did you find them?"
"I don't know... Sometime around 6:25," I ran my fingers through my hair.
They showed up a few minutes later and carried them away on stretchers.
"Thank you, ma'am," one man said as he and his co-worker carried the bodies to the ambulance.
