Joe and Dianne slumped onto the sofa, each taking a moment to calm down. Whatever the outcome, they both knew one thing, they had each other.
Zoe and Alfie came in a few minutes later, Zoe apologising to Joe immediately. She felt guilty, for not telling him.
"I'm sorry Joe, I just wanted you to hear it from Di first, I didn't know what to do." she stuttered, he rolled his eyes and stood up, being the brother she needed.
"Zoe, it's fine. You did the right thing."
"And Thanks Zoe, you really helped, thank you." Dianne said, Zoe shook her head. Meanwhile Alfie smiled, he was with the right people indeed.
"It's alright. And can we please order tea, I'm starving."
After Dinner, they all knew that there was a test waiting on the shelf in a shop near them, waiting for it to be bought.
"I should probably get the test. Joe, coming?"
"Course."

The two walked arm in arm, to a place they never thought they'd be going for at least another eight months or so, but here they were.
The purchase went smoothly, but the walk back to the treehouse was too short for their liking but as they walked their steps became slower and slower until eventually Dianne stood still, feeling not enough confidence to even move.
Joe turned back to her and took a hand in his, feeling a whirlwind of anxiousness and love Course through his veins. She sighed.
"Come on, we need to get this done, it's the only way." He softly reasoned, stepping a few steps closer to her. She wrapped two arms around his waist.
"Joe...I'm terrified, what...what would we do? You know, with dance, and your work, and everything else?" she felt more nervous than she had ever been, and Joe sensed just how vulnerable she was.
That day, Joe had seen her at her most vulnerable, how petrified she really was. He was scared too, for her. Scared she would isolate herself, from him. He didn't know what she was capable of, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to find out either.
He wrapped his own two arms around her, resting his head on top of hers, like two building blocks.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, but whatever happens, we're in this together."
"Thank you." she whispered. "Thank you."
"It's okay, everything's going to be fine."
Joe was surprised at how much he had improved with dealing with situations like this, she really had changed him. For the better.

"I should go to the bathroom, I won't be a minute." she said, both leaning into kiss, one filled with more love than thinkable.
"Alright."
Dianne made a shaky walk towards the bathroom where she took it out of the box, the pregnancy test in her hand, she sighed.
"Come on Buswell, are you eating for two or not."
After she weed on the stick, she placed it on the side faced down before standing leant against the wall. She wasn't expecting to be doing this, none of them had.
A child could change her life.
Joe hadn't even met any of her family yet, despite him being a frequency topic of conversation down under. Her entire family could sense how special he was, and saw how much their Dot loved him, but what would they think?
Was it too early?
Were they ready?
A few metres away, in the living room, Joe sat on the sofa hunched forward, his hands clasped in front of him, his eyes on the floor. Zoe, who had seen him at his worst, hadn't seen him like this.
He was on edge. As much as he loved Dianne, could he take care of a child, was he the right person for her parents whom he hadn't met yet? Part of him thought that they would judge him, getting their daughter pregnant so early on, on purpose even. This wasn't the case at all, but 'what if' seemed to be a phrase he would think way too much.
"Joe, you need to stay calm, follow my breathing." Zoe instructed, hearing her brother breath heavily and quickly through slightly parted lips.
Normally it would be the other way round, but this time it wasn't, yet Zoe was surprisingly calm throughout.
"It's just...what if she is, I haven't even met her parents yet, what will they think?"
"They know these things happen, it's happened to a lot of people. And you've talked to them over the phone, haven't you?"
"Yeah, but it's not the same. It's just nerve wracking, I don't even know if I'm ready Zo."
He tapped his foot impatiently, sighing as the seconds which seemed so slow disappeared. After a few minutes, he walked over to the door.
"C...Can I Come in?"
"Yeah, please."
Alfie watched from the kitchen, feeling his own heart rate increase. Zoe walked up to him, leaning on him.
"I'm so nervous, for both of them." she said, Alfie nodded.
"Come on, let's go outside and get some fresh air."
Joe entered the bathroom, standing opposite Dianne. Both of them were scared, scared for the press, for their careers.
The test beeped, it was now or never.
"Do you want me to do it or do you want to?" Joe asked, giving Dianne a lingering hug.
"We can do it together, this is both of us."
They both picked it up upside down, both sharing a quick peck before seeing their fate and future.
"3..." Joe started, rubbing circles on Dianne's back, biting his lip gently.
"2..." She leant her head on his shoulder.
"1..."
