Saying goodbye at the airport hadn't been easy, both Joe and Dianne had tears pooling in their eyes. They had been inseparable for so so long and now they were being ripped apart for Christmas. But although it was for good reason, it still didn't get any easier.

The flight to bunbury had felt like forever, Dianne already missing Joe more than she ever thought was possible. Back in London, Joe felt lost, like half of him was missing.

"Dot! You're home, it's so lovely to see you." Rina exclaimed. She engulfed her daughter in a motherly squeeze, something Dianne missed whenever she was in the UK. Rina had missed her daughter so much, and was glad to have her safe and sound at home again.

"You too ma, the weather is also so much nicer here you have no idea!" Dianne put her bags in the hallway of her childhood home, but was quickly bombarded by her two brothers, Andrew scurrying down the stairs and Brendan charging inside from the garden, both of them getting her at the same time which made her burst out laughing.

"Dot!"

"Hey guys, you missed me?" the three siblings broke apart, all of them laughing, Dianne had missed this.

"A bit." Brendan said, earning a slap from Andrew. Their significant others were coming the next day, but the three siblings were glad to have this time to themselves.

They all made their way into the garden, Dianne greeting her dad, Mark. Before anyone could say anything else, Andrew's phone rang.

"Hello?" He asked, confused, the other four family members giving him confused looks. No one knew who was on the other end of the line.

He rolled his eyes, staring at his sister. "Yes it's Andrew, Hello Joe."

In that moment, the entire family relaxed, content with who was on the other end of the line. It was as if a storm had turned into a rainbow and blue skies at the click of a finger. He seemed to have the same effect on all of them.

"Yeah she's fine, she's safe and sound...yeah the weather is amazing here, good luck to you mate...a cold Christmas? Ha, anyway I've got to go....yes I will tell her to turn her phone off silent." Andrew said, looking at Dianne on the last part who pulled a worried face and turned on her phone, smiling when she was met face to face with five missed calls from Joe, he cared so much it did things to her heart.

"Yep, Alright, See you later Joe, bye." Joe ended the call, Andrew shaking his head and sitting down at the garden table again, Dianne looking at him shyly.

"One, turn your phone off silent, two, he's a keeper." Andrew said, Dianne nodded as if it were as obvious as the alphabet.

"You think I didn't know that." Dianne chuckled, she still had yet to tell her family that they were going to try out for a child.

"I'm just saying! Now she's got a boyfriend she acts all sassy." Andrew teased, Dianne slammer the table at him. "And he's nice, I like him."

"We all do." Mark added, despite never having met the man. Dianne chuckled.

"I know, when Andrew said it was him on the other end of the line it was like a rainbow formed."

The entire family laughed. "I guess he has that affect on all of us." Rina added, Dianne smiled. It was clear they all loved him, clear as day. Maybe she had nothing to worry about after all.  After spending a few minutes contemplating what to do, she just decided to throw it out there in the end.

"Guys, can I talk to you all, seriously?"

They all turned their attention to her, Rina looked at her comfortingly, supporting her to say whatever she was going to say next, regardless of what it was.

"Me and Joe, we are thinking of trying for a child, at the treehouses we had a bit of a wake up call and we decided it was what we wanted." she said, fiddling underneath the table.

Brendan grinned. "I think Mia and Billy will love a baby cousin."

Dianne looked up at him, relieved he supported her. Mark and Rina didn't say anything, they couldn't find the words, they just nodded. Andrew leapt up and hugged his sister from behind.

"So you're all cool with it?"

"Yeah, Joe's clearly the one Dot." Rina said, Dianne went all red. Both of her brothers were about to open their mouths to tease her but she held a hand up.

"Shut up."

Joe laid on the sofa. After calling Andrew, he called Zoe. Himself and Dianne had discussed that they would tell their families over the break, and Joe knew to get it out the way before his emotions got the better of him and made him more nervous than he needed to be.

"Hey Zo, I spoke to Di about the baby."

He could hear her excitement over the phone. "And..."

"We're going to start trying after Christmas."

"Oh my god!" Zoe squealed into the phone, Alfie and Tracey both giving her strange looks. "Mum and Alf are here, do you want to tell them or shall I?"

Zoe heard his response and put him on speaker, tapping her foot excitedly and grinning from ear to ear.

"What is it darling? Is everything alright?"

"Is it to do with the dresses?" Alfie asked, Zoe gave Alfie a nod and Alfie cheered, Tracey was left confused.

"Mum, me and Di...we're going to try out for a child, if that's okay with you." Tracey gasped, excited for the future which was beginning to take more shape.

"Oh that's wonderful, and keep us updated."

That night Joe and Dianne told each other how sharing the news went, and were relieved to say the least. Dianne was excited to carry his baby, she felt honoured and like a very lucky lady indeed. Joe was thrilled, ready to embark on a new adventure with the love of his life. Both Joe and Dianne were excited and ready for New Years Eve, when the quest for baby Sugg began...
