It Has Been awhile......then and now

It has been awhile since I have last posted.  At that point then I was going to set the world on fire with funny Witty humor but now I am just chatting about daily life events. And in my life it is a daily life event since the family has moved home.
Then it was lazy days in the hot humid southern summer. Time to lie about in the sultry mornings before work in the cooling pool(a 6ft by 10 ft wading pool sitting on the deck.)   Then I was working with my husband at the same plant on second shift.
Now it is hold up in our bedroom,studying for school,not working with my husband on second (his shift was moved to first) and I got laid off in mid November, stuck at home with a houseful of family.
Ah, summer was the good ol' days. Just us, no extra cleaning, free to be us, happily still horny at the old age of mid fifties after 35 years of marriage.  We love our family, enjoyed the grandkids, but we had our space and place.
But as life does not like to linger in one holding pattern too long, it changed and changed big.  First we were told that a new grandchild was on its ways. Since we have two boys we were hoping for a girl..Can we say don't hold our breath??? It will be a boy and is arriving on April fools day. We were still happy cause it was just us two still yet.
Next life change..the family moves in.  Needless to say to our son we told you so,we didn't and now a few years after the time we tried to tell him so.. the light bulb goes on and what we tried to tell  him takes root and grows.  The idea to fix up the singlewide has finally taken root along with the fact it would save money in the long run and the family arrives home in the fall.
Okay it will be a long hard winter but hey we both work second shift and would only see the family on weekends. This could work and did for a short time.  The plant that we worked for is downsizing and second shift was going.  They will chose between the "A" list on whom to keep.  Since I was on the "A" list but didn't have enough seniority, the position was I given was too demanding on me physically and I begged for the layoff. My thought was to give it to a single mom.   Needless to say I was blessed and cursed.  Blessed to get a chance to go to school for a course of study that I could be working at within six to seven months...cursed to be home with the family underfoot.  Let me just state that there is a reason some creatures eat their young.... I now understand that reason.
So now while I holdup in my room,(far safer than any other part of the house) and study hard for my classes health unit secretary and use my new laptop I will be sharing my thoughts and wisdom with myself and anyone who care to read it. Mostly this will be my record of my going senile due to family genetics,which is most definitely inherited from your family mainly the grownup kids with the grandkids.   It also proves to other I just ain't plain crazy but was made crazy while loving my family.
